Re: I Like......
I LIKE
- Ketchup and pickle on my hotdog (if it’s not going to be a chili dog) (sorry Andrew!)
- being outside
- sunlight
- tropical beaches
- an ice cold mojito on a warm tropical day
- bourbon barrel aged stouts
- A hot cup of coffee on a snowy winter morning
- watching my dog frolic in the snow
- learning new things, like how frolic is spelled frolic and not frolick (thank you spell check)
- a book so good that it doesn’t let me put it down
- cuddling with my 1 year old on the couch when she can’t sleep in the crib
- when my children smile
- watches (a little too much if you ask my wife)
- my wife (like is an understatement...)
- driving
- snow tires in the winter (a must have in the snow belt of lake effect storms from Lake Michigan)
I could do this all day. There’s a lot to like out there.

So very true! It was hard keeping a list manageable and reflective of who I am.

I’m looking forward to the time when we can maybe have a lairy shirt and watch of the day competition!

Re: I Like......
I like the freedom to be able to spend time with my wife, going where we want, when we want.
However with that type of stuff somewhat curtailed over the past 12 months it set me thinking of a few others things I like that are still possible to enjoy during a pandemic.
I like:
- trying different styles of coffee bean
- gin and tonic
- wines from all over the world, selected to compliment...
- meals cooked at home
- Saturday date night with Mrs nbg
- seeing our children via zoom and noticing how our grandchildren have grown over the past year
- fortnightly zoom GTGs with a dozen or so fellow watch nuts
- yoga
- watching the birds in the garden
- stepping outside the house, with an even chance of looking up and seeing red kites, within 15 minutes of leaving the house
- country walks on our doorstep
Neil

Re: I Like......
Missed this thread the first go around...glad to have found it via JKBarnes's
I like:
growing old with my wife of nearly 30 years
seeing my kids grow up to be young adults (almost at 16 and 17)
my lovable dog who teaches everyone in my family that love is easy to give
reading the news everyday and learning about the world
watches, especially opening them up and learning how to change batteries and regulate movements
finally fixing those looming house maintenance problems (although new ones always pop up)
this forum!
