Substituting “w” for “n” I must have w+1
10xCW, 3xBremont, 2xTag Heuer, 6xOmega, 1xHamilton, 1xSeiko

I guess I'm alone in knowing exactly how many watches I own...

It doesn't, but that would actually be a fairly easy add! (I do wonder if it's a step too far though  )

I do have some plans for the future that would be a decent enabler to that concept though...

Of course not. A name for an air king would start with an "A" :D (Michael or Jordan excepted)

I have just been asked how many watches I own and what brands, by a shop assistant in a Jewellers.

I was looking in the window at the Tissot PRXs and the young lady came out and engaged me in conversation.

To be fair they weren’t her first questions. I was happy to talk to her as the only other person I have spoken to today was Mrs nbg, who only wanted to point out what a mess I had made in the kitchen and try out a few phrases in Spanish.

I ducked the number/brand question by saying Casio, JLC, Tissot, CW and Seiko and that I probably had about a dozen or so. I reckoned that she probably hadn’t heard of JLC or CW and other than that I stuck to brands they sold in the store. She did though get the benefit of my view that G-Shocks are pointless and I would rather wear a cheap Casio.

Yes I find it awkward being asked about my watches by strangers. Well by anyone really, with a few watch nut and family exceptions!

Even tongue in cheek it made me feel quite queasy thinking of giving names to my watches. Douglas seems a good dependable name for an air king though
Also queasy over people referring to their watch as ‘she’. They’re inanimate objects….

(Well - animate, inanimate objects anyway) :problem:
