Thanks! It's a Geneva stripe, but I now prefer bamboo as it's more appropriate for where I live! The Multifort range often features the same dial effect and I like it as it plays so well with light. Sometimes the dial is dark, other times very light, sometimes the bamboo disappears but more often than not, it's there in various shades of green.

^^^ Aah, interesting that something as regular as a Geneva stripe can give such a varied result. It's fantastic!
watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

Re: How do you like colour in your watches?
My Rolex OP was bought by sheer chance as I was walking past my local AD back in late September. Tucked in the very corner of the window I thought ‘that’s the new one’.
Being late afternoon as I tried it on I was told I was the 11th person that Saturday to do so. Waited until Monday before collecting as I still wasn’t sure, but being a Norfolk boy I was sold on the yellow, convincing myself that it was a ‘Mustard’, ‘Lotus’ or ‘Canary’ shade of the colour. Sure it will come out during the sunny months or during our next holiday (whenever that will be!).

^^^ Had to do a quick Google search of the canary / yellow / mustard references, but I've got you now!
I think the watch is wonderful

I haven't responded yet because I realise I'm pretty conventional compared with some!
I like a nice blue dial and I have a couple of those. My most colourful are definitely the C70s.
Apart from that it's black, white or silver dials. And the odd strap with some colour like the blue/orange hybrid. But mostly black or brown.

These are the three currently under review in my watch world. If I get on well with these three (plus my EB which is currently on my wrist), then the rest will be sold! Plenty colour options with the ones i’ve chosen
