Thank you everyone for your kind wishes.

I'm away, staying at Burton Waters, a few miles outside Lincoln for the weekend with Jan (girlfriend/partner).

We walked into the City Centre yesterday and have been to the International Bomber Command Museum and Memorial today; very poignant.

Out for a relaxing wine bar dinner this evening.

Pic is view from where we're staying.

Out for a sunset walk on Friday, we got to see the rising moon and the Red Arrows, who are based at RAF Waddington nearby.

Google photos stitched a panorama for me. Anyone notice anything strange?

@Bahnstormer_vRS Didn’t 617 use the cathedral as a visual navigation point before heading off to the Dutch coast? I seem to remember that from the film.

It was often the last visual point that many Squadrons (not just 617) used, having taken off from various Lincolnshire airfields and climbed into formation, before heading east - as I learned today on a guided tour.
