Re: Happy 40th Birthday ddav
Thank you for all the kind words and messages. As for Bernie, I must remember to close my curtains
As many of you may know I was gifted a weekend at the British Grand Prix by the wife and family so no horological present from them.
However, unperturbed and to mark the event I set about finding and "old AT" .
Now I will freely admit this is one of those pieces I've spoken about in the past as a consolidation piece. For this reason I've moved the C2fle and others are still up for sale. Why now? Well a variety of reasons, it's a "landmark" event, I'm changing jobs, a realisation of mortality (cirrus was the same age as me) a whole gamete of things really
Having missed a pre owned one from iconic I did eventually get a new "old" one from them.
It arrived last week but I've been at work everyday until I finished my job (yesterday).
I've kept it wound in the box and it's averaged about 2 seconds a day slow, I'll have to see how it goes on the wrist over the next couple of days.
I've got dinner out tonight with the wife and some old friends in a shirt that will make some of you proud
Many thanks once more.

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party, but I hope you've had a great 40th birthday today Nick. It sounds like you have!
