Favorite mechanical object other than a watch

Post by Bufadad »

Seeing that you all love watches, I thought I would see what your other favorite mechanical objects are, whether they are old or new.

I'll start...
The Curta mechanical calculator... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curta
Mecahnical signing bird device... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tPKFT_t2rL0&sns=em

I'll go with that, some of Brownings creations are just amazing, personal favorites of mine have to be a ferrari 355, the alfa romeo giulia and the flying scotsman

Not a Moto Guzzi Bon?.. although the last ducati I really loved was the 996, but as classic british design goes, the Royal Enfield Constellation takes some beating

Personally I'm more or a rifle guy. I've come across some really nice modern production Mausers and they were gorgeous, the depth of the bluing and polish was fantastic.

That said I was once playing with an old H&H that still closed and locked up like it was made yesterday.
