Just some treatment required for his hands. Seems in good spirits, must be the painkillers...

One of the worst impacts I've seen that didnt result in major injury (or worse). Kudos to the structural integrity of a modern F1 and the medical/marshal crews. Still, incredibly lucky to walk away from that. Imagine taking the impact, being on fire with your visor literally melting and having to undo your full harness and wriggle out of the tiny burning cockpit.
So relieved to see him come out of that.
Unsure if he'll race in F1 again but psychologically he'll probably need to be back in a race car pretty quickly if he's to carry on racing in F1 or any other discipline.

I wonder what George Russell is thinking - Hamilton Covid 19 positive so presumably Stoffel will cover for him and also a chance others may have it within the team.

George should be pestering Toto and asking to stand-in for Lewis and show the world what he can do in a decent car!

Will George Russell be able to maintain his record of out Qualifying his team mate for every race this year, for the Sakir Grand Prix?

Glad it's happened and also gives Jack Aitken an outing who hopefully can beat Latifi.

I don't think Russell will be on pole or win, but if he has a strong weekend and doesn't drop it like Albon then it can't do him any harm - I just hope he doesn't give a Covid positive test.

I was looking forward to this next race anyway, with a different outer loop and quick laps - has the potential to be a bit chaotic with sub 1 minute lap times and no Hamilton.

Grosjean also out of hospital and aiming to return for Abu Dhabi and then make way for Mick, who has been confirmed for '21.

Not with the low downforce & high speed. It'll be a Mercedes, likely Bottas. Could even be a Racing Point! I think Red Bull will be happy to get a podium.

It's going to be a wild spectacle...

The braking distance for the safety car is huge, so imagine the energy F1 cars will be putting through the brakes and tyres before being at full throttle for so long. Monza on steroids!

That's a quick lap; even in a Road Car.

Maybe one can find info elsewhere, but it looks like they've installed TechPro barriers at the point Grosjeans crashed last week.

I believe simulations have the F1 lap about 25-30 seconds faster than that!

The way the brain of a racing drive processes things is unreal or would we all react like that in those circumstances :?
