PS. Friendly banter!
Always friendly banter, Steve

I’m definitely going to try iPlayer and radio commentary tonight, get rid of the awful/woeful BBC punditry.

What really got me last week, was that idiot expert Graham Souness bleating on about Scotland only having 5 million to choose from!! Hence their poor performances.

How about Croatia, Greece, Denmark. All decent tournament teams.

Plus New Zealand don’t do too badly at Rugby, for a small nation. He needs a reality check!!

I prefer the BBC pundits to the dreadful ITV adverts. To be honest, I leave the sound switched off until the game begins.

Steve, I’m with you in general. Whenever we need to watch anything on ITV, we always record and then FF through ad breaks. If its “live” for whatever reason, we always mute during ad breaks.

By the way! Croatia v Albania was a cracking match. Wasn’t one I expected to watch, but just finished helping my daughter move house and I was exhausted. So a beer/JD and a game was a great relaxer. Very surprised how much I enjoyed it. Pleasant change from the dour England performance. (I know, I know, a win is a win. But for Pete’s sake try not to put 10 men behind the ball when we go a goal up)

By the way! I don’t know who this Pete guy is, but usually people want to win for him! Bit like “Fire at Will”, poor guy.

I forgot this was here, and just posted in the curmudgeons corner.

Why on earth are Hungary not playing in red, and Germany not playing in white?

Home and Away strips?

Yeah, I know that Germany is playing home turf but they might be designated as the Away team?

I was prepping the theatre and lighting a show last night. I think I saw a lot more drama with kids doing Shakespeare. I watched the (mercifully short) highlights when I got home. England can top the group if they grind out another 1-0 against Slovenia. Where’s the fun in that?

Another show tonight so I’ll miss FR/NL. Shame.

Most enjoyable game I’ve seen so far. Croatia 2-2 Albania.

Nobody mentioned, and they didn't replay it, but just before Hungary scored, the ball came dorn just inside the Hungary box, and the Scottish player tried to take an extra touch.

I've always thought that the best strikers manage not to take the extra touch. (Vardy for instance). The Scots guy should have just hit it as it came down.

I’m looking forward to the final round of Group E matches on Wednesday with all teams on 3 points!

I came to the conclusion you were right, except that tongiht England are in white but are the home team? Maybe that just ITV showing them first.

It looks like there's always a team in white, anyway, which is what they do in the NFL, I was told many years ago.
