CW watch count - enough to keep me very happy, but always room for more!

That’s what I’m shooting for. A dry 2024 actually.

As for drinking, I only have a couple on the weekends so no real reason to stop that for a month in my opinion. Though there were periods in my life where it was beneficial to give it up for a while.

Like a lot of other responders, I do not drink enough alcohol to justify a dry month. If a dry January is what you think you need, than please stick to it! Although moderation does not come easy to some folks, it really is key ...
As for a full month of no new watches... Well, that certainly ain't gonna happen for me!
Top of the minute to you all,
Dan

Probably should take the month off as we failed sober October this year but I have a couple of nice bottles of Whiskey coming for Christmas which might scupper it.

I'm not drinking any more in January.
But I won't be drinking any less, either !

Good luck to all those who go dry.

No penance for over imbibing etc, just fancy doing it again.

I'm doing it, easier than I thought.

Invested in a new CW with the savings 😊

That's either a sale watch, or a habit worth kicking. :D

Wow. I'm fond of beer (and a single malt) but I'd be hard pressed to buy anything more than a strap from the CW sale with the savings from a month of abstinence. Not that I've ever tried a dry month ...
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

I live opposite my local, a trident 🔱 pro 300 a month is really doable at 5.20 a pint!

( Used price I'm not a total alchy 😏)

As Vin in Magnificent Seven said:-

“Reminds me of that fella back home who fell off a ten-story building. As he was falling, people on each floor kept hearing him say, "So far, so good."

So far so good, one week to go!

I was thinking exactly the same!
A big night out with the lads costs well north of £100. Few scoops in the week watching footy. Its easy done.
Thought my man maths was off but it would be easy if I didnt work shifts and some weekends!!!
