Don’t want to take it off…

Post by missF »

I’m wearing this - again. Fifth day in a row maybe? I tried to change it today for a Sunday best but I just don’t want to take it off. This is the watch in my box most likely to make me feel this way. Right now if you snuck the rest of my watches out the door and I never saw them again I’d be happy as a pig in poop wearing this one. This watch fits like a magnet click.

Do you have a watch that - once it’s on - you just don’t want to take it off?

It depends, let me explain. If I only had one watch, it could be any from my collection, I would happily wear it all the time and not worry about it. I took my IWC on a three week holiday as my only watch and was perfectly happy and never once thought about watches. (Forget the fact I bought my bronze Pro300 while on holiday for now….)

However it’s not that I want to take my watches off. It’s that I want to put one of the others on. I’m sat here now wearing my Bremont and am perfectly happy with it and could wear it all week. The problem is I’ve other watches in the box I want to wear just as much.

The only way to solve this would be to sell all bar one of them, but I’m not ready for that yet. I even made a statement recently that I was done buying but despite having no spare funds I’ve already got itchy feet, or is it itchy wrists?

Once Rolex releases the Polar Explorer 1 (which will be in a 38mm case with 20mm lugs) I’ll also put it on and it’ll fit like a magnet click and I’ll never want to take it off

Sometimes, sometimes not.

I recently wore my Hanhart Primus Pilot Desert Dark for nearly a week, but that was perhaps due to being a new arrival.

In the vein of Richard wearing his Explorer, I could comfortably wear my Bronze C65 Sandhurst.. . .
.

.
. but then I get into the realm mentioned by Iain of, what about all my other watches?

Big problem. :-k. :-k

@jbm90 -
it’s the CW x Worn and Wound LE Sandstorm.
Information here in the archive:

It also has a brother watch, the Sandstorm Blackout.

Just my best watch and it’s hard to explain why :D

@iain I think you have summed it up better than could have ever done. I have many in my collection I could happily wear for extended periods, and many times I do wear the same one for a week at a time. It’s not that I want to take a particular piece off, it’s more that I feel like I’m neglecting the ones I have left in the box. But for the sake of the OP let’s go with this one.
