Disappointment Of The Day

Post by scooter »

Gutted to realise that the throbbing in my pocket this morning was caused by my vibrating Fitbit alarm.

Care to share a disappointment with us?

Gutted that it's raining this morning.

This means that instead of working in the garden, I will have to spend time in the garage working on a steam engine.

Waking up & realising it's a work day - this could be a recurring post!

I'm disappointed that our local MP had nothing better to do yesterday than to pass on his "concerns" about a patient who complained to him that she had to wait 3 weeks to see a GP of her choice- when we always have on the day appointments available for those who need it, AND the GP was actually on holidays for 2 of the 3 weeks she waited.

Houses of Parliament headed paper and secretarial typed letter. He didn't even sign it.

This is him (for context).

Gutted that DPD failed to deliver my all blue C60 trident 300 today. I have to wait until tomorrow now, I was looking forward to it as well. :(

Just received an invoice for €360 from Hertz, for the 'damage' to a rental car...

Image

It's a pea-sized dent caused (probably) by a flying stone.

Now that's disappointing.

^^^^^ Call out a car detailist like ( Chipsaway ) or ( Dent Devil ) and they will get rid of that for under £50 or so.

Car lease company,s are :censored: Pee takers, and it was probably missed on the first inspection.

Never mind the dent, that big white circle someone has painted on is going to take some removing!

That 'damage' charge seems a little steep.

I've sent them a hissy-fit email. If they don't remove the charge I'm gonna squeem and squeem till i'm sick.

Or I could use the damage excess insurance. :)

Honestly, the 'disappointing' aspect of this is the blatant profiteering of these guys. As Footy says, this is a £50 repair at most - and if it's £50 at retail, you can bet that Hertz are paying significantly less.

Mind you, if you return a rental car with an empty fuel tank, the charge is.... a mere €226. ****.

I can understand, most of the times they let it go around here (I once scratched the front while parking), but I still take full insurance when renting a car (essentially doubles the base rental cost) just because I don't know how they will behave.
