Thank you Richard (and mrs B) for your kind wishes.

I don't like to put picture of myself on the internet, but I thought I would just this once to share my wife and I's wedding day with my online friends here.

Mrs C looked amazing ( although the pictures don't do her justice in my eyes), the cars behaved them selves, the weather was kind to us, I love the venue we had our reception in (Gosfield Hall, essex) and our closest friends and family were all their to make our day the special day it was. I'm not normally a softy but our wedding day has changed me, as it is truly humbling to have such amazingly good friends as we have, I am a very luck chap and I don't take that for granted.

This forum is another great home filled with great people and your good wishes and kind words mean a lot, so I thought it only right to put up a couple of pictures.
Thank you all again for your kind wishes and comments.

All the best

Clarky

Clarky, it is a real privilege to look at these pictures of such a special day.
Judging from the 'view from...' was it the Gritti Palace?
We like both the Gritti and the Danielli...for different reasons.

Andy, no need for thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

Did Matteo tell you about our 'Casino Royale' evening?

My son assured him that it was the building next door to him that sank in the film, Matteo disagreed so much he went out, bought a copy of the DVD and sat and watched it with my son :D

Oh, and, yes, it was the building next door, not them :(

They're a lovely couple, and he's such an ambassador for Venice that I think that, one day, he just might be Mayor

I hope you weren't up the Campanile at noon :D

Hi Rob

Matteo didn't tell me about the Casino Royale evening but I see exactly how that would have come about.... He is a gentleman and looked after my wife and I like old friends. It amazed us when every member of staff addressed us by name from the first instance, and on the last day after setting the hotel bill we went out for the day then popped back to sit out on the veranda for a drink or two while waiting for our taxi back to the airport, I went to pay for the drinks and Matteo wouldn't let me pay for them, instead he said they were on him...
As you said he is such an ambassador for Venice, he recommend some nice places to eat and places that must be seen... I would vote for him as mayor.
He has some nice watches too, he even changed watches three times one of the days so we aren't the only one's  :D

When we were up in the bell tower of the Campanile it did go through my mind that I hope that they don't ring the bells with anyone up there... Fantastic views of Venice from up there though.

Might have to start planning our return trip soon......
