Caseback of the day.

Well, no, more like caseback of last weekend, several times during the week and this weekend as well. A Tisell Explorer bought second hand a couple of weeks ago which is in good condition but the timekeeping was a tad fast scampering ahead like a racoon on acid. Not magnetised and with good amplitude and beat error so a five minute job to regulate. Or it would have been had the caseback not been tightened by a South Korean weightlifter using a two foot bar.

No amount of persuasion or choice language with a rubber ball or gummy sticky turny tool was going to get this sucker off. Resorted to buying the proper tool- twice. The first was a cheapo special from Amazon, the metal composite of which obviously comprised a large percentage of jelly baby. A week for better tools to arrive, then a little more grunting and off it came.

Removing the caseback- two weeks and £20. Regulation 15 minutes and free. Experience, priceless.

Time and money? I’ve spent most of mine on booze and women. The rest I just wasted…

Dornblüth & Sohn 99.1M. This isn’t quite as nicely decorated as some others in their range but is still rather lovely I think.
