The TRIBUS has a My Dog Sighs signature eye. Specially commissioned piece of art etched onto the crystal exhibition caseback. Leaves you peering through and around the eye into the mechanical movement.

The panel on the side of the case shows the winner’s name and time – Grands Prix took a long time in those days!
Following on from AVO’s beautiful watch this is the C70 DBR1/2 Chronometer. A celebration of the Aston Martin DBR1/2 that won Le Mans in 1959. The caseback incorporates a piece of the car. This watch is accompanied by the best and most detailed owners handbook I have in my collection. Adds to the enjoyment of this watch. https://www.christopherward.com/on/dema ... manual.pdf

Good thread, this. Some lovely caseback’s on show. I really like the Bremont Supermarine, it’s a great piece of illustration with an almost art deco feel. The hippocampus of Alex’s Omega is superb too. Very bold and incredibly well stamped. Keep ‘em coming folks.

I am enjoying looking at the detail of the casebacks in this thread, even though it is not something that I ever do with my own watches.

Even on sapphire back watches, the only time I look is when winding the watch.

Today’s is this one. Deeply engraved text and slightly curved ridges. IIRC most Reverso models have flat casebacks.

This is also slightly different in having a 5 ATM marking for WR, compared with the usual 3 ATM.

I think the detail adds to the enjoyment and understanding of collecting watches. As for your watch, it’s gorgeous.

Certainly is, the eye has a three dimensional quality to it. If you look very closely the TRIBUS logo is reflected in the centre of the eye.
