Do it! You don’t see it all day, but you know it’s there.

You learn something new everyday. I always assumed that all the Bremont ALT1-WT movements all looked the same, not so. There are subtle differences. Apparently the ‘military’ editions had the least of finish, see the first photograph. The second is my watch. These are of the same watch model sharing the same case design, crown, pushers, hands, dial, etc…

What caught me eye first is that on mine BREMONT is picked out in red on the rotor. Yet the military version has no colour. Even the decorative finish differs, there seems to be an absence of it on the military edition.

Here’s my ZT/51 which is essentially the same movement as the WT but has a different dial. It doesn’t have the city time zones on the inner bezel, Instead I have a 24 hour GMT inner bezel which is 48 clicks to allow you to measure whole and half time zones.

The ZT/51 is also a very good looking watch, what strikes me is how a simple finish can change the appearance of a movement and that of the ‘feel’ of a watch.

Simple, and well done. Also, the number 2 has been significant in my life, has always kind of been my number. When I picked up this nearly new C65 LE I wasn’t even thinking of which number it might be, but it arrived as #222! What a coincidence! Or fate?

Well, I haven’t seen a polished Bremont caseback here yet so, as I’m wearing it, I thought I’d take it off a sec to snap a quick pic

Yes, I’m one of those people who leave the plastic on their case backs (and clasps) until it falls off… Image
I think Omega does one of the nicer styles of movement decoration across their entire range, even for watches with closed case backs. You see this pattern and it’s synonymous with Omega.
