Once 8 is displayed you carry on winding until it reaches UP indicating now fully wound, although even without that as an indicator it is quite evident from feel when fully wound.

It had already dropped back from UP to 8 in the 6 hours I have been wearing it today and took two full winds to put it back up. Takes me eight winds to put in one full days PR.
