Reading the Brodit site, their clips and holders are made in Sweden.

The holders look especially neat and clean, being specific to each phone. Snag is, because of this, there doesn't seem to be any clearance to allow for the phone to be in a case, even a slim one.

More investigation needed, I fear.

some of the holders have some flexibility. there is a screw in the middle and they will adjust a small amount.

note that the descriptions for iphone XR says: Fits devices with skin that has the following dimensions: Width: 70-83 mm, Thickness: 2-10 mm

that said, when i looked at the sony xperia xz, i *don't* see the flexible dimensions with the screw in the middle. so it may not be as flexible for all phones.
the "g" is for Greg...

+1 for Brodit Proclips - I have an adjustable one in my Golf which houses my iPhone 8 in its case:

It comes in two pieces - clip for fitting, specific to car, and holder for phone - you screw one to the other

(Excuse messy car - can’t keep dirt out with this weather....)
