*Wave hand*
I'd say I'm a watch enthusiast ('60s Tudor, '80s Seiko 6309-7040, other Seikos, Junkers, Mondaine etc...)
And I'm a mountain biker. I think my mountain bikes are still worth more than my watches though. What is the approved ratio? :-)

Yes. I cycle about 5k miles per year. Have participated in the Etape in France (99-01) and have
completed the Marmotte twice (09, 11). I'll be participating in the http://sf2015.ffct.org/
this year (it's held in a different town each year).

Any cyclists among us?

Post by bobbubka »

Afternoon,

Apologies if this has been done before.

I know watches are the general passion of the forum, but I know cyclists are equally passionate about their bikes. Figured I'd see if anyone out there shares my obsession of two wheels and Lycra!?

Pics required please. (Not of Lycra poses I might add!!)

This cheap bike has served me well for the 2 miles from home to university. Soon. In a year or so, I will be able to afford a car (and a better bike) but this does very nicely till then.

Started another thread and got pointed in this direction. Love my road cycling, looking to cycle across Belgium this year. Anyone had any similar experiences? Image

There are some seriously nice bikes on here compared with the old irons I used to ride!
My experience is from the nervex lugs/531C era!

Have just seen your TT pace when 18, that's a seriously good pace given the weight of bikes back then especially. Highly impressive stuff. [THUMBS UP SIGN][THUMBS UP SIGN]

I need to lose a bit of weight and am thinking about getting a bike.

As I have a lower back problem I'm looking for a hybrid with flat handlebars.

Any opinions on this 2015 Trek:

Recently sold my bike on ebay after it had stood idle in my garage for about 5 years - following the initial few months of intense activity. Just sayin'. :D

Seriously though, I've heard good things about that brand, and apparently it's the "worlds most popular fitness bike". There must be a reason for that.
