Unlucky for Josh Tarling. He would certainly have had a medal maybe the gold but for the puncture. :(

Adam Peaty tonight. Gold hopefully.

Watched a little bit of the Olympics yesterday. The women's team archery which was quite gripping, you don't appreciate until you see the length of the course, how far they are hitting that small gold bullseye from (70 metres apparently  ), South Korea pipped China to gold.

The men's doubles tennis, what an amazing comeback for Andy Murray and Dan Evans facing 5 consecutive match points (9-4 down in the extended tie break they have in place of a third deciding set) and then winning the next 7 points in a row! This is Murray's final ever competition so at least he's going out with a bang.

Adam Peaty, so unlucky to be pipped by a few hundredths of a second, but a great achievement to come back to this level after various health issues.

Hopefully the first GB gold not far away.

It seems that France must be the leader in the technology required to clean up our rivers.

They've delayed the triathlon until tomorrow due to the poor unhealthy condition of the Seine.

Wow, a dirty unhealthy river to a clean acceptable river in 1 day :?

I don't think I would need a gold medal that badly, I would risk my life for it.

I think all the rain of the last few days was supposed to have disturbed the sediment and contaminated the water.

Given that they are surfing in Tahiti, they could have done the triathlon there perhaps.

I'm amazed the BBC aren't showing Andy Murray playing tennis. Eurosport 2, although it says something else on the guide.9pm at the moment.

^^^ Red Button!

Too much tennis, swimming and gymnastics for me. Lots of sports being underexposed.

Maybe, but you don't want to go hunting for it. I came across it by accident as it was, but just stuck around and watched it, and enjoyed it greatly.

BBC red button for Murray & Evans match last night. This time only had to face two consecutive match points down rather than five the last time but still managed to somehow win! The Brits in the crowd (pretty much most of the crowd) were going ballistic!!

Watching this caused me to miss a great gold medal win for the men's 200m freestyle relay team, retaining the title they won in Tokyo (interestingly the first relay gold to be retained with the four exact same team members).

There have been some other great gold for Britain in the past few days, notably the thrilling comeback win in the mountain biking by Tom Pidcock, after getting a puncture and then overtaking the French rider in the last few hundred metres (went down well with the locals, not!).

^^^ Not a big mention on BBC for the guy who won with an Olympic record (48/50) in the trap. I guess they’ll go with whatever they perceive to be popular…you won’t miss a second of T&F next week.

And they could have shown highlights of the Rugby 7 final in the time that Tweddle was rabbiting on about Biles (c. 15 min)

Yes it's a shame that Eurosport have most of the events as opposed to the BBC (whose coverage is far better) such that the BBC has to spin out the few events it does have with flannel. I did watch the mens 7's (popular home gold medal win for France and Antoine Dupont over Fiji) and the ladies 7's match between GB and USA, which was a fairly comfortable in the end victory for the US.

Did anyone else see the defeat of the British super heavyweight boxer Delicious Orie a couple of days ago, I thought he was totally robbed with a shocking points decision.

@Thegreyman
In the post bout interview he didn’t convey that he thought he was robbed…

I am sure he would have, had he thought that to be the case.
