I have never viewed age 20 as a landmark, as I think that 18 and 21 are more significant.

My parents bought me a watch for my 18th and girlfriend (now wife) gave me one for my 21st.

I did buy a watch for my 40th and 60th.

For my 60th I also made a point of ensuring that the watch was picked up on my birthday, so that the warranty card was dated the same day. My BB58 a watch that I will never sell.

It cost less than some other watches that I had been buying at the time, so it doesn’t tick the more expensive box. It does tick the brand new, me as first owner and newish release, that I really, really like boxes.

The above are the only watches that I have bought to fit with the ages in the OP. I have though bought a few over the years to mark and celebrate certain other events.
