This, more than likely, reinforces CW's decision to develop more sapphire models. Looking forward to them materialising.

Nice to see the CW brand get some recognition for what it delivers for the $$$
Small collection of timepieces that I enjoy

Never heard of the magazine but hey ho, good to be listed alongside the best washing machine, air fryer and suitcase, amongst others.
Excuse the cynic in me, but does anyone really believe that this magazine has personally tested all these watches? Or wonders why they provide a link to amazon for many of the watches on their list, as part of a 'round up of today's best deals'?
Do CW advertise with this magazine?

Surprised you've not heard of T3.Caller wrote:Never heard of the magazine but hey ho, good to be listed alongside the best washing machine, air fryer and suitcase, amongst others.

They have been around for quite some years, and even way back in the early years of CW had a C6 Kingfisher T3 Edition
They cover a wide range of Tech & gadgets and are often the go to magazine for Smartphones, Cameras etc. (not just the arguably mundane items you've selected above).

Nope, never heard of them, have no real interest in smart phones other than they work and for camera's, laptops and their like, I go to specialist on line sites.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Thu Jun 11, 2020 3:46 pmSurprised you've not heard of T3.

I hadn't realised the association between T3 magazine and Christopher Ward.
Always thought that the 2008 T3 Kingfisher was something to do with Forum member Terminator 2 (ex Terminator).
To be honest, like Caller, I wasn't aware of T3 magazine either.

These T3 awards are the pretty much the same every year. Yes, there's invariably a G-Shock, Hamilton field watch, a Tissot, usually something by Braun and that utterly bland railway timer by Mondaine.
Good to top out...but in that company?? I know, and so does everyone else on watch forums around the world, there are many way better watch offerings at that price point.

Does melancholy count as two of your five daily servings?

Yes I agree here. I think T3 tend to just pack out their "best of" rankings so no one gets upset...strapline wrote: ↑Mon Jul 27, 2020 1:42 pm These T3 awards are the pretty much the same every year. If they were packing for the sake of it.. there’s better cw watches at this price point, I’m not a fan of the sapphire it’s another hideous car crash of a watch, looks like they fired a bunch of parts out of a cannon and that’s the result lolGyelex wrote:Yes I agree here. That said there’s some cool watches in the category and it’s been judged the winner which is a small miracle so maybe not a case of trying to please everyone

T3 aside, I see Christopher Ward is advertising this watch on television again.

I trust a watch "review" by T3 as much as I trust a Covid-19 briefing by Matt Hancock.
Nonetheless, well done CW, the Sapphire is great. Don't think the T3 award adds any weight to how good the watch is though.
