Too slow.A1soknownas wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 7:17 pm Knowing the Tribus Liverpool deal cost £8m over 5 years I guess this deal will equate to around £800 of revenue for Everton then .
Hopefully it helps grow the brand and they have better success than Tribus where the watches were the problem rather than the sponsorship deal.
There is no reference here to producing co-branded watches I can see, let alone intending on selling quartz versions in retail stores whilst at the same time attempting to sell other watches for over £1.5k as a start up, confusing the brand.
I do like a blue watch so hopefully they bring out a diver, likely called the Richarlison.

Actually a CW / Richarlison watch would be a decent tie in. Great quality, value for money, indefatigable, and wrongly maligned by people who don't know what they're talking about.

I really hope this doesn't mean more blue watches.

I'd like to think it means nothing other than CW's name appearing in Everton related matters. The idea of an Everton themed watch, even as a blue, is awful. Couldn't get my head around the Tribus Liverpool watch and that doesn't change just cause it's my team.

He is not maligned due to his ability or performances to help Everton beat relegation, in my view it is because he is a proven cheat at both Watford and Everton I wouldn't want the rat anywhere near a club I support. The Brazilian will likely be out of the club at the first chance he gets anyway.sproughton wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 7:39 pm Actually a CW / Richarlison watch would be a decent tie in. I suppose Everton change their manager as often as CW changes their approach to branding and logos so that is maybe the synergy of the deal.
Seriously, despite any rivalries, Everton are a reputable club with a great history and that is what I hope CW will benefit from.
Re: Christopher Ward becomes Everton's Official Global Timing Partner
I’m not sure what to make of the announcement. If it’s true that MF is an Evertonian as others have posted then it feels like wanting to have an association with the club for personal reasons, which is fine. I’m sure it’ll give the brand some reach as Everton are a stalwart of the top flight, but they’re not a global brand and from what I saw of the Everton Twitter post it didn’t really garner much reaction other than lots of puns about it being time for a new signing or kit launch!

Jesus, wind your neck in. He's by no stretch of the imagination a 'proven cheat' and dives far less than Salah, Fernandes, Vardy or Kane.A1soknownas wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 8:31 pm He is not maligned due to his ability or performances to help Everton beat relegation, in my view it is because he is a proven cheat at both Watford and Everton I wouldn't want the rat anywhere near a club I support. This is why football is an awful topic to discuss with so many people given the insane blinkers people have.
Supporter 1: Man who plays for rival team is the worst diver in the world! I've seen him do it once.
Supporter 2: But you're fine with all of the divers in your team?
Supporter 1: Obviously.

Nah, keep going it’s going to be a darn sight more interesting than an overpriced Everton quartz watch in the back of the club shop.
Edit, my mistake MF watches don’t make quartz anymore so it will be an overpriced mechanical watch.

Not a fan of football, but can see this been a car crash vanity project that will make the constant rebranding look like a good idea.
It comes across more of a personal dig at Chris and Tribus.

Re: Christopher Ward becomes Everton's Official Global Timing Partner
The thread is quite amusing and lively, its a fun read.
I'm agnostic re a specific football team and easy going re these things... but, and I know I'm likely in the minority here. I dislike in general football culture, brand and often values. It will unfortunately therefore slightly detract from my appreciation of the brand, if they do issue a branded watch this will be even more challenging for me.
I'll watch with interest and seriously hope they dont go all souvenir brand! I can think of many more sponsorship deals that would enhance the image of a luxury watch brand better than this (IMHO). That said its not the biggest deal in the world and if I liked a specific design I may still buy.
