I’d probably be all over that if I were an Everton fan, my only slight reservation on the styling is the goal number plate on the dial.

60 units is certainly a more measured approach than the Tribus/Liverpool venture.
I prefer the blue tone version to the alternative CW chronographs with multiple colours.
The only downside would seem to be the thirty minute timer. (I presume it only goes to 30 minutes). You would have thought you would be able to time a whole half, as it were. It's certainly attractive and not obviously Everton branded.
It tempted me to look at the Everton fan store website, but it's not on there, although I was tempted by the yellow third team kit to add to my football shirt collection.
@Gar787 Sorry. It's not letting me like your posts on this thread for some reason. Very useful though.

Re: Christopher Ward becomes Everton's Official Global Timing Partner
It's a good looking watch that, even as an Evertonian, doesn't change my view of football team and watch company collaborations.
Especially as a 'good' watch - I almost understand it if it's cheap and cheerful, but not in this case. Good luck to them but I don't see who the target audience is for this type of watch.
I love the caseback though.

I'd be happy if a watch of that style was produced for my team. But our watch 'partner' is Hublot, so just a few very expensive LE's are produced from time to time.

I thought the same thing. If you look closely at the 30 minute totalizer, there’s a dashed line at what would be the 45 minute mark to indicate the end of the half (one full revolution of the hand plus an additional 15 minutes). Given that they’re limited in their options by the movement used, I think that’s a reasonable alternative.

If you look at the rotating bezel it goes up to 45 mins which I assume is so it can be used to time the match.
I know this is aimed at Everton fans being made to commemorate Dixie Dean but having a large pressing of the club badge on the back means it’s going to limit the appeal somewhat. The club badge is the version from the 1920’s when Dixie was playing, not the current Everton badge obviously.

Iain’s Law: Any discussion on the Christopher Ward forum, irrespective of the thread title or subject matter, will eventually lead to someone mentioning the Bel Canto if the thread continues for long enough.

As a Liverpool fan I'm not planning on purchasing another CW watch while they sponsor Everton. Irony is that Chris ward is /was a Liverpool fan.

Am sure it'll look good in the EFL next season

Yes, and the man himself endorses it and thinks it’s quite funny. Chris is a rabid red, a mate, and a nice man. I don’t think he’d concur with your submission here but, each to their own. I do hope that you stay with the brand and this fantastic Forum. It would be a bit sad if you didn’t because of 60 watches. All the best.

100% agree. Should’ve kept the date at 6 o’clock.Thegreyman wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 1:49 pm I’d probably be all over that if I were an Everton fan, my only slight reservation on the styling is the goal number plate on the dial.

Re: Christopher Ward becomes Everton's Official Global Timing Partner
Two negative posts about a 60 watch LE release. No true local football fan in Merseyside wants Everton to be relegated because that would be the end of the derby, which, as I’m sure that you know, is very important, locally. I’m old-school, if Everton don’t win I want Liverpool or Tranmere to. I see you’re in Manchester…

Good edition for the any fan with a bit of spare cash and interest in the historical aspect.
I like the colours and the simpler dial and bezel work so much better for me compared to the original C65 chronograph which was very line heavy.
It is nice to see the applied logo continue, looks great.

My thoughts exactly. I could this a watch of this general style and aesthetic, minus the team branding, being very popular. And leave the 45 minute references. I kind of like those!A1soknownas wrote: ↑Tue Apr 18, 2023 10:27 pm I like the colours and the simpler dial and bezel work so much better for me compared to the original C65 chronograph which was very line heavy.
