Yeah, tis frustrating, but the light is at the end of the tunnel now :) It's only a problem for us keen folk. They're gonna be on sale for a lot longer than we've been waiting for them so we're in a minority.

The cynic in me is probably thinking that CWL are under pressure from investors to be churning these new models out as quickly as possible ;)

I would agree it has been frustrating, but it would seem that the transition to the Swiss facility has not been without its problems. Firstly August 1st is the Swiss National day - a public holiday celebrated with an insane amount of fireworks, so not a good day for opening!!! Beyond that, in common with many continental European countries August is holiday time. Beyond that the well documented issues with buckles, and now hands for the C8 have arisen. If it is frustrating for us, imagine how Chris and Wera feel!
The end is in sight though, the C8s look likely to go out on the 23rd, and with this weeks James Bond themed
add leading with the C7, I would hope that they should start shipping sooner rather than later.
It was a great idea to offer the pre-ordering for the new models, which sadly seems not to have paid off this time.
Still I look forward to seeing my C7 arrive and settling in with its brothers!
More than that, the waiting urged me to be a Black Monster to whet my appetite for watches!

Ho Hum,
just had a follow up mail from Wera, it now looks like it's going to be the 25th at the earliest.
Now, I just need to stay away from the Orange Monster for two weeks!

She never mentioned what was causing the issue, but did say that they had someone out in Switzerland chasing the issue to try and speed things along.

Just received an email from Wera (who's obviously working very late!) who says the Swiss factory is being very careful and diligent, and it's now looking sometime during w/c 4th November.

I don't mind them being careful and what-not. I'd rather have a watch perfect out-of-the-box, than have to send it back for something. "Measure twice, cut once."

The C7 I have on order is the lady's version, for my fiance.

Well, Quidco says the transaction was completed on Friday (even though CWL have since withdrawn from Quidco!):
£17.19 from Christopher Ward London Limited validated on 07/11/2008
But my Order Tracking on the CW website still says awaiting stock. Odd :D Oh well, this week hopefully!

I think someone has switched the light off, gone home, and forgot about us now to be honest.
