I understand the point, but is this really any different than using the SW200/2824 movements arrangements?
Actually I was looking forward to the SW500 myself so I could give it a good comparison, but I am not disappointed in the 7750.
The alternative in this case is to wait for the SW500 and probably not get the watches delivered by Christmas. If it was my business I know what decision I would make.
If CWL was not such a transparent company we probably wouldn't even know! They just wouldn't put the movement info on the website. The early buyers in this case get a bonus assuming he will switch to the SW500 at a later date. The reality is that most buyers won't care either way.
It would be great if the industry was in such a state that this move was not necessary, but I personally don't consider this a bad move. There would be many shortages and delays of many models if CWL did not have these options. Perhaps if this was 5 years ago and CWL wasn't selling so many watches, perhaps he would wait on the Sellita. Now this would be a costly decision to make IMO.
