Re: Ocean Crawler - my favourite use of colour...

This one you linked to missF looks great, almost psychedelic! FAEC64CC-4CB8-4AAF-95F3-3E1B8956049E.jpeg I am also very much a fan that basically makes a 1 of 1 because no 2 dials will be the same. I'm also a fan, but what I've learnt through owning them (C60 Ombre, Formex Space Rock) is th...

Re: Formex Essence Space Rock

If this watch has one problem, it’s that it’s the antithesis of a strap monster. Trying something a bit lighter though.

One look at my avatar (at time of writing) will perhaps reveal my hand FFC2F6E6-81BB-457B-9E8C-07B2D304798A.jpeg The Concept has become by far my favourite watch. It is a touch on the large side but light, comfortable and frankly spectacular to look at. This is the watch by which everything else I o...

Re: Formex Essence Space Rock

I wonder if the black one was mine - I ordered it and returned it as by the time it arrived I had spent the funds on something else, I have to say I didn't notice that amount of detailing on the dial so perhaps it wasn't. Very probably not unless yours came from WatchGecko! Seems to me it's the luc...

Re: Formex Essence Space Rock

Interesting comparison. Maybe the difference is that the second watch has diagonal lines rather than orthogonal. I wonder if rotating the first dial through 45degrees would have improved it for you. I did spend a bit of time wondering whether or how much dial orientation mattered but only concluded...

Formex Essence Space Rock

I've wanted a meteorite dialled watch for about as long as I've known that they're a thing. There's something pleasing to my eye about the Widmanstätten triangular patterning that occurs. Plenty of microbrands use meteorite as a material but the problem has been finding one I like; frequently the me...

Re: A true GMT for £699?

I want to like the Coniston, for instance but it seems to be just too cylindrical - I take it that's why the seiko is a "tuna" seiko. I owned the original Coniston but sold it and now own a Coniston Auto. The case on the Auto stands head and shoulders above the old one. It's maybe still a...

A true GMT for £699?

Marloe are just starting the promotion for their next release, a GMT. I found it all a bit meh until I found out it features a 'true' (Miyota) GMT movement for just £699, and suddenly it looks a bit more attractive (more so the Night variant).

Re: Studio Underd0g: Worth it?

To add to what Bahnstormer_vRS says about the colour helping it to stand out on the wrist, there's virtually no bezel to speak of either. They're a nice watch, Maybe one too many types of finish (polished bezel, brushed sides, blasted rear) and the Seagull movement attracts its share of snobbish com...
