I'm not sure why I did it... I think I was just playing with colors... But I do think that I have just built my first 'fashion watch'...

Re: Wearable!
Although not my favorite in style, the Seiko 5 is the watch I wear the most. It ticks all your boxes besides 5, but I have plans for that...insert :mischievous grin: emoji here

Re: Oris x Kermit
Wery nice! I love the case/bracelet, the offset pattern in the bezel, and of course the color. Add the custom movement, and that's quite a time gage. Add a real felt dial in that color, a spiced up date wheel with more characters, Animal colored indexes, and .... Oh, this is firing up my imagination!

Re: Non CW of the Day
With this time gage, I pay homage to an influential cartoon of my childhood.
I tried for the same vivid colors and simple retro styling as Hana Barbara employed.... The watch itself (an automatic Bulova) is the same vintage as the cartoon.

Brought another old Timex back to life last night... I have a soft spot for these dollar watches and their crazy dial designs.

Re: Just One Watch - Can I survive?
  Well... I am impressed!  With your will power, the time gage you chose, it's performance, and the fact that you are getting so intimately familiar with it. The straps you are making also look pro! Solid leather, nice edges, straight and even stitching... perfect for any to...

Re: Non CW of the Day
Frankenwatch from spare parts...
200m case, hand wind movement, hand etched tribal manta dial, indexes with MOP inserts instead of lume.
I don't think the offset dial is me though..., yet. Maybe old dogs can learn new tricks...

Re: Just One Watch - Can I survive?
Hello... My name is Dan,... and I am a watchaholic... I have not always been one... Most of my life, I've only had one watch... sometimes I had NONE! But then my mother in law pushed me a Seiko... Good luck! I hope you can escape from the asylum. .... come back to visit us if things get to hairy 😬

Re: 1950's Ernest Borel skeletonization
I think I see where you’ve sketched out where to make the cuts on the barrel, yes? Keep us updated on the progression of this watch  Yup, that was the plan with the pencil marks on the barrel, but I ran out of time... I've got some other irons in the fire at the moment, but I will expand o...

Re: 1950's Ernest Borel skeletonization
Well iain , like I did say in my previous build posts, criticism is not just ok, but very welcome. There is a fine line that I am weary of crossing, one between good work and better work. It is easy to cross that line, to try and make everything as perfect as I can, but if I do, I will end up spendi...
