Re: Screw down case backs.

Sadly don't have the correct batteries in stock but opened them up to confirm that the excellent CW Archive was correct that they are indeed Renata 371's. Glad to hear that the archive has done its duty again, Ferg. It’s the little things like this that make it so good, and that is all down to Kip’...

What are you listening to right now ? ALL SORTS! :D I have finally been dragged kicking and screaming into the modern world! After listening to a friend’s Amazon Echo speaker at a dinner party at the weekend, I went out and bought one and downloaded the Alexa app to my phone. I’m trialling Amazon Mu...

Not just you, Jon. It’s a pretty general problem and, as I said, they are looking into it.

Thanks for pointing this out. We are aware of a few navigation issues that have appeared since the forum upgrade, and the system developers are also aware and are working on it. Thanks for your patience – it is in the pipeline but we are not sure quite how long it will take.

^^^ The steel bracelets were available for a while as a stand-alone item. Now just the titanium ones are available. I suspect they have had a run on them and they will be back in stock at some point.

I’ve seen a Bremont I really like. But there’s a problem. Well, about 15,000 of them if I’m being honest.

Only four? I’m disappointed.

I keep seeing one that looks like “Cat Scratched Leg”.

Re: Bremont in-house movement?

Beautiful watch! Ticks so many boxes. And whatever the movement is or is not, they have certainly done a job on it and it looks terrific.

I’m not expecting the forum to be awash with them given the price, but who is going to prove me wrong?

^^^ In addition, my experience of the movement with the Sealander is that it is very good. Accuracy and power reserve are well up to spec, and the GMT hand sets in a way that is positive and precise.

But yes I agree with you Steve, makes for happy motoring. I never minded the gear changing on twisty country roads or in hilly country. I had a 205GTi when I lived in Scotland and it was a hoot! However, motoring in the south and east of England is not nearly so interesting. We only have a couple o...

Ideally I want to go automatic this time, DCT, it is another two grand on top though....I'm just sick of changing gear  I think it's an age thing ! I’m not a great fan of motoring, as you know. However, having made the change to automatic a couple of years ago I definitely wouldn’t change back...
