Re: Lympstone Bezel Misaligned

That would drive me mad as it doesn’t seem aligned at all. It’s as if the bezel insert was placed in the bezel without checking the bezel was in the right place first. With most standard edged bezels that’s not an issue but here it looks wrong. I’d be speaking to the dealer you bought it from and se...

That looks nicely made box but 24 slots is giving me a nosebleed just thinking about it. Enjoy filling it.

Limited editions also help with the scarcity so allows some people to try to make a quick profit.

I’m sure this was just a typo or maybe I’ve misread it, but for anyone reading who might misunderstand, this watch is not a Forum limited edition. It’s being organised by the Facebook Christopher Ward Aficionados group.

I just use the basic version and there is definitely a cost per wear feature.

If you click on an individual watch and then at the bottom click the $ symbol it’s shown there.

Re: Non CW of the Day

Industrial elegance. I just wish I knew how to properly pronounce “en-gen-iouer” Ingenieur means engineer in German. The French version of engineer is ingénieur, so it looks the same to my uncultured northern roots, but linguists will highlight the accent over the first e. Having listened to ...

Re: Non CW of the Day

Back on the Ingenieur today. Still running and I’ve made it a personal challenge to wear this for a full year without it having stopped. Only 8 weeks to go. IMG_3342.jpeg Interesting exercise. How accurately has it performed over 10 months? :D It depends. It has a120 hour power reserve which is pro...

Re: I’ve finally found a use for that AVO…..

Nice piece of bakelite you've got there! Thanks Will you be expected to create a frilly shade to cover the bulb/lamp? This is intended to live in the man cave, permission for the main part of the house is still a long way off. However it’s not that clear in the photo but the bulb is one of th...

Re: I’ve finally found a use for that AVO…..

@iain By ‘eck, you ‘ad me goin’ there, lad! I had visions of being carted off to perform some kind of menial servitude in the wilds of Yorkshire. Livin’ in a cardboard box in t’middle o’ t’ road! I could’ve had nightmares for months about that. Sorry to disappoint. You’ll have to skip havin...

I’ve finally found a use for that AVO…..

That’s AVO as in Amps, Volts, Ohms…… I’ve had this old AVO multimeter sat in the shed for about 30 years. I doubt it still works and it was last calibrated in 1987. I think I acquired it when my old engineering training school closed and they sold off the test equipment. After getting some inspirati...
