Finished Fashionista #2 this morning. It's basically another exercise/experiment in dial painting and engraving executed on an inexpensive chrono. The paint is not really paint; it's actually calligraphy inks mixed with mica powder (which creates a great texture when the ink dries and settles down)....

I know I've mentioned this before, but that is the sexiest rotating bezel ever!

Boy, this was a hard choice...
Lots I like about each watch... some things I don't like about either...
I can't help but Franken them together in my mind:
the CW case, bezel style and movement, but the Seiko dial and hands. Date at 6 o'clock, no GMT function, and a minute track on the bezel....

Pa-ram, Pa-ram, Pa-ram Pa-ram Pa-ram Pa-ram Parari-raaaaam, Pararariram...

Kip I already fixed all the minor flaws, gave it a good overhaul and made a leather tilting base that I can eventually adapt for use under the microscope. I think this will be a very versatile general purpose vice that will allow me to tilt and swivel my work without repositioning it in the chuck.....

Here is a short post about something that impressed me this morning... Yesterday, the NAWCC group that I belong to (Granite State Timekeepers) held one of its meetings, and amongst other exiting happenings, I acquired a 100+ year old engravers vice. It was free, thanks to Dennis, at Carignan Watch R...

Boy, oh boy, this is gonna be a tough act to follow...

I could not possibly have imagined that a 50mm watch would fit my skinny wrist so well. It's so large..., but the way the lugs drop down make it hug the wrist just right... surprisingly comfortable. I might have found something to modify into the one hander I've been meaning to make! Screenshot_2023...
