Your views on CW Watches and brand wanted

Post by Mintsalad »

HI, I've just joined and am not an owner. However I am trying to get information from owners and fans to add to my Agency pitch next week for Christopher Ward.

We are really hoping to be chosen as CW’s design agency of choice, we love the watches we've seen and held and the founder's spirited enthusiasm for the industry is nothing short of uplifting. Getting feedback from experts, lovers and aficionados of CW will be a continuation of the company ethos, that the opinions of people who matter most are those of the people that love the watches. So, can you all spread the word and get everyone answering the following questions?
What is the single most important factor to you about CW watches?
How do you perceive CW watches?
Do you think their price matches the quality?
Is there a manufacturer out there matching price and quality?
Which more expensive manufacturer do you think CW matches in quality and style?
Is the website clear and concise enough?
Do you think the website branding and design matches the watches quality and beauty?
Would you like videos and 3d presentations to better show the watches on the site?

Thanks in advance for posting your replies...

Excellent feedback, would you wait a few seconds to view one of those files you drag around and can see all of the watch from any angle?

There is a lot of information on the forum which would answer all of those questions and more if you looked a little!
To be honest it is hard to just "answer" them for you as they are presented here without knowing a little more context.

For example, if you are someone who has worked with other watch companies before then we will be able to answer in context, but if you normally wear a cheap quartz (or just check your 'phone for the time!) then there would be much more explanation needed for each response!
Furthermore, if we knew the context (e.g. are you hoping to design some adverts or a new website) we might also be able to better answer the questions.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but without a bit of context our responses, as a forum, could easily be taken the wrong way!

following on from Mortis' reply. What are you specifically going to be designing? The website? The Magazine? If so, we could limit our responses to commenting on that aspect of CWL and not waffle on about irrelevancies.. :D
