Your help needed

Post by andybarry87 »

Team Forum, your help needed!

Last day of the Loupe discount code and I’ve still not been able to make up my mind between these two (maybe they are so similar it doesn’t matter). I thought after a month I’d be clear in my mind, but no amount of reviews or forum photos have helped me decide!

I don't want to taint your comments with why I like either or what gap it might fill. So over to you, all views welcome, positive, negative or questioning my choices entirely

Not being funny but are you limited to just CW watches. Plenty of other brands and authorised dealers with decent deals on at the moment.

That said, for me I'd chose the bottom one.

For me, I have a problem with day date watches. I just cannot get on with them. So for me the GMT would be my choice.

My choice would be the Chronometer. Having both day and date at 3 gives more balance against the name at 9.

^^^^ What he said.
I have the Elite 1000 and it is becoming more and more my “go to” watch. It has the accuracy I need, the balance on the dial that I appreciate and the size/bulk is just not an issue now that I am used to it.
Good luck with your decision making…
Keep well,
C

Does ‘orange’ v ‘red’ help you out any? You must be weighing up small details at this stage!
For me, I prefer a day-date function

I think you are right, and there probably isn't a bad choice. The top watch is more glossy, and the lower one more of a matte finish. Are both bezels ceramic?

I am down to even how much red vs how much orange at this point, but seems like more votes for the Elite over the GMT

Elite for me. I had one sent to me in error and it looked great (I’d ordered the blue elite, which I still have). One factor to consider is weight. The titanium is very light - does that matter to you?

Day/Date and the less shiny bezel would win for me.

They are both ceramic. I think because they are so similar it’s a pointless decision as I’d be happy with either, but the room so far is leaning towards the Elite

No, I think either are fine on the weight as neither are that heavy. I’d also considered the pro of titanium wearing blemishes better over time than steel, but then is also takes a scratch more easily

Is there a feature of either watch - no matter how small or insignificant that bugs you or catches your eye in a negative way? Because that feature will grow more prominent over time.
