Winter Sale - Extreme Disappointment
Winter Sale - Extreme Disappointment
Not sure what happened. Obviously I am a huge fan of CW having bought over a dozen watches and given them as gifts. I am a borderline CW brand ambassador on Watch Crunch. The CW sales are like my Christmas morning and I couldn't wait for the sale today.
I know I signed up everything right, this wasn't my first sale hunt. The schedule time came and went. I thought it was just delayed, but then I come on here and everyone talking about what they bought and what they missed out on.
This is extremely disappointing to say the least. Am I the only one here? Was there a glitch or something?

I find it strange that anyone a member in here is moaning about the e-mail notifications. for years you can always come in here check the sales thread and click the link. There is always someone constantly clicking refresh then posting the link. CW are also infamous for 'leaking' the link, not hiding the sales page or starting it early.
Current collection = Omega Seamaster 2225.80.00, Omega Speedmaster 'Moonphase' 3576.50.00, Breitling Aerospace Evo, Vintage Azur, Vintage Seiko Sprtsman, Grand Seiko SBGX059, Omega SMP NTTD 210.92.42.20.01.001, Casioak Milkyway, Casioak Tiffany Sky.

I got mine 1 hour late too. But I wasn't looking for anything in particular anyway. I may pick up a bracelet but I haven't decided yet. They usually stick around for a while so no hurry on my part.

This is usually the case. Some sleuthing on the site will give you the URL usually.

Re: Winter Sale - Extreme Disappointment
Well, I have been a customer since 2010 & received no email. I have just asked Mike for a reason why.
Re: Winter Sale - Extreme Disappointment
To be clear - I found the link here way before I received the email, and I'm not moaning.
Still wasn't anything I wanted.
I can see though that If you aren't a frequent visitor here or new to CW, the drip feed or non delivery of the emails is frustrating.

Re: Winter Sale - Extreme Disappointment
I only just got home. I'm looking at presumably the less desired stuff that's hanging around, but there's still a few possibilities.
I really don't like to go below 40mm so there's not too much for me anyway.
Nevertheless, I have just picked up 3 great half price straps, so that's a terrific outcome anyway.

Re: Winter Sale - Extreme Disappointment
I come on here now and then, usually only say good things or suggest that they make a white twelve strap already. Didnt realize I needed to come on here to cheat the system to get access to a sale I was properly signed up for

Nothing is proper about the sale. It is cut-throat savage. It is terrible. It is wonderful.

Re: Winter Sale - Extreme Disappointment
Agreed but that doesn't mean it isn't the best day of the year. To completely miss out on it, is just super disappointing.

Have a look on the January sale - 2025 thread, you'll find a couple of posts with the link.
Happy hunting.
