Yep, grew up calling it tipp-ex. I remember working abroad and an American colleague mentioning using white out. Considering my previous comment and the fact at the time I was working in the Gulf you can probably imagine the puzzled look on my face.

I used to own 4. My first one was the Mercedes LE C11. I liked it so much that I bought my C10 3 months later. Then 2 months passed and I bought the charcoal C60. Less than a month, the blue C60.
The problem is among these ones, I bought several others and they didn't have much wrist time, specially when I got my LM PO (charcoal C60 was forgotten). When I got a deal for my Panerai, I was able to exchange almost all my watches as part of the payment as most of you already know but the fact is I've been waiting for THAT watch from CW.

A moot point perhaps, but to many of us the 'new' logo, is the only known logo. What went before is the past. Coming to it from my direction, the 'new' logo looks a cut above what went before.

Sorry, if acquiring good taste requires one to think that "Chr." is better than "Christopher", then I don't want any.

None as yet, but that's all about to change...About to order myself a C60 (black bezel/rubber strap) and a Victoria-Deco for my better half's birthday. I have a feeling that these will be the first of many

Welcome to the forum ;)
Great choice for your first CW, The Trident is a fantastic watch.
Looking forward to seeing the photos of both the new arrivals soon.

Used to own 4 with my first C8 Mk1 lasting the longest but they seem to be the watches that move most quickly when looking to 'upgrade'. There is nothing in the current line up that really appeals (i.e. I must have one now) and until they stop putting watches in the 'C9' case, I will not be buying any of the higher end pieces.

What the chap with the cup said :D

Its always useful to contact CW regarding old stock though, I have recently so I may have one of those terrible old logo thingies on order soon.

I have a c60 that I love but with prices going up it will be a lot harder to justify another one over steinhart, tissot, Hamilton, etc. like many other members, I need more of my personal desired features and quality increase with the price increase. In all fairness I've held off on watch buying lately. I would rather save up for a higher end luxury watch. Thinking jlc or omega. My wife is in the market for a watch and cwl prices are great but she doesn't like any of the designs. Christopher Ward is a great company with a great business plan and i'm sure they will be coming out with more watches soon that I won't be able to pass up. The new c9 is very tempting.

I feel like cwl is at that very difficult time in a young companies life where the decisions are difficult and carry a lot of potential consequences. Cwl is approaching the same price and quality range as some swatches big brands with a lot more advertising and history. I like cwl more than those brands and I have faith that they will release more new products that will be better quality than their price point competitors. JJ movements in more watches would really help that quality.

Looking through the steinhart website their watches are streets ahead in design and choice and (at the moment) still using eta movements. You can pick up a great watch for between 350-400 euro. Comparative watches on CW are £500+. Those maths don't work for me. Think the c61 will be my only Cw watch unless something comes up 2nd hand. I did prefer the older models. When they were more £££ reasonable.

This is a big problem for me too.

The pros and cons of both brands seem to cancel each other out and then you're left with one brand who's watches are cheaper! Having said that as a brand I would still prefer to wear a CW over a Steinhart.

Maybe the next incarnation of the C60 will appeal to be more and then be worth the next dosh.

I also hope CW picks up on what seems to be a popular trend of producing 'vintage' style watches.

Had 7 i think in total but only two remain. My partner has hijacked my C5 aviator and calls it her pill box which i think is quite an accurate description of the slightly high and squat case. My blue C6 is a regular on my wrist and it seems to withstand most things. I have previously mentioned in other threads that there is nothing in the current line up that appeals to me and the price increases over the past 18 months or so have been quite steep putting CW in competition with other very reputable brands. I wish I had bought a c600 when they were being phased out, though. They just don't come up for sale anymore.

I don't have a CW. I joined the forum to buy one from a CW fan but found myself frustrated by the posting rules and as a result I found alternatives instead.
