Welcome to the Club.
Enjoy your stay and keep up with the banter.

This, back in 2011, was my welcome from someone who has been here even longer than me.
Banter. Bit harder to find these days. Just my personal view, but the forum has become more serious. I can’t explain it or find examples, it’s just a feeling.
^^^^ That’s an interesting observation, I had only seen a slow down in discussions rather than a fall off in the more lighthearted elements of forum interactions.
I tend to be more lighthearted with many of my forum postings but it can hard to judge where the line is with text based interactions rather than face to face. I’m more inclined to have fun with more established members who might understand my mindset than with newer ones who might think I’m being rude. I tend to limit most of my humorous posts to things everyone can understand and can’t be misinterpreted.
These users thanked the author iain for the post (total 3):
Iain’s Law: Any discussion on the Christopher Ward forum, irrespective of the thread title or subject matter, will eventually lead to someone mentioning the Bel Canto if the thread continues for long enough.

Just returned to Earth and glad to be back on the forum. Getting all my watches in for service now. Lots of catching up to do here considering it's been nine years. Cheers to all!
Welcome back!! Your C6 project continually pops into some conversations. Once you get caught up we would love to get an update on the C6 status as well as this post...

I thought I'd add an update -- this original C6 mod is still running strong, it's had one battery change since 2010. The U.S. patent issued in 2012.
I don't offer any filling services, instead I've been focusing on manufacture of a watch with this feature. It has a few other unique attributes -- it's solar-powered, and it has remote setting so there is no crown. In fact it has no seals at all, the crystal and case are one single piece of continuous acrylic. It survives thermal shocks and mud/grit that would kill most other dive watches. It has some export controlled technology and some other proprietary aspects, so it's not offered for marketing or sale to general public.
