Where are all the new bronzes?

Post by strapline »

There has been a lot of new CW launches of late. I guess most notably the C63 range which lit up the forum for quite some time and whose photos seem a permanent feature in the CWOTD thread. Now we have the Aquitaine range of vintage inspired divers, along with their Swish and lack of wordmark. But sandwiched between those two releases came two new bronze offerings: C60 bronze Ombré with the green dial and the C63 Sealander bronze. Both are chronometers, both are clearly bronze...and both seemed to have not really surfaced on this forum. Yes, there have been a couple of sightings, but certainly not the sort of fanfare I thought they might generate. Anyone else notice this?

Arrived this afternoon my first CW.
First impressions
Very well packaged
Case is too shiny, can't wait for the patina to develop.
Strap is very stiff.
It's bloody gorgeous 😍😍

I’m considering the Sealander bronze or possibly the Aquitaine. I got a little too greedy with watch spending earlier this year. Have to cool it but I’ll likely plunge in by the end of the year.

I've been eyeing the C63 Sealander Bronze for months, and would love to see more photos of it posted! I think there are some video reviews coming out now... but would definitely like to see some shots of it out in the wild to help sway my decision!

Oh wow that is brand spanking new bronze.

Is it coated like some are doing to “hold off” the patina?

Great question. I really like the fresh bronze look but am not wild about the patina that forms. It’s too bad because I would’ve considered the COSC version in steel or in bronze if the patina wasn’t a feature. I get why people enjoy it though.
