From what i can gather, this half price sale event has been a bit of a shambles today. First some make believe RRPs, followed by poor arithmetic concerning what a 50% discount actually is
Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day

Looks that way, I have sent them an email as I bought one for £337.

I'm sure you will get the watch for the right sale price. CW are in all fairness good at putting things right when they do go wrong

I blame myself to a degree, as I had something in the back of my mind that the full RRP seemed high. But having viewed some photos and videos online I decided to go for it, I don't have a trident and have been keen to get one.
Plus the sales stock goes pretty fast so you have to be ready to order quickly, guess worst case is they don't give me the difference back and I can choose the free return - if I decide to.

It's the timing also as I guess this will have to wait till Tuesday.

Easter Holiday? Closed Friday and Monday I suppose?
I emailed Wera to change my order from brown to black strap with no reply at this point. Guess I'll be waiting with the rest of you. Phillip

Yes they will be closed till Tuesday I am afraid. Bank Holiday long weekend.

I have never mailed Wera before so not sure if there is any likelihood of a reply outside of normal working hours.

Assuming it is Tuesday they will have a lot of emails I suspect!

As soon as I found out the original and sale prices were incorrect on some of the C65's I notified Chris who reacted quickly and made the corrections.

Although I do not yet have confirmation, I am certain that the orders that were placed for the incorrect prices will be corrected before final processing.

Thank you very much indeed Nigel for your explanation.
Is it safe to assume you are on the CW payroll ?
And as for the last sentence of your reply, I'll decide for myself if/when I feel that to be the case.
No it is not safe to assume I am on the CW payroll, chance would be a fine thing, just applying common sense. Sorry I offended you with the word 'moan', it's just that there are now three threads with complaints regarding this issue. We all make errors occasionally don't we? I'm sure CWL will honour the adjustment of prices for those who hit the button early and thought it was a good deal at the time.

Hmm...no e-mail for me either. I ordered a watch during the last sale at the end of Feb., so I gather my e-mail would have been added to the database?
I'm afraid not. You only get added to the email list if you enter your email address in the place provided on the front page of the CWL website entitled : "SIGN UP for news and offers"

Had an email from Wera as I ordered this afternoon, obviously a little too quickly and without checking the price properly. Offered a cancellation and chance to re-order at the correct price with a chance of not getting an order in, or a refund of the difference, so I took the refund.

Wera has replied to me also, says my order is too far down the system to change the price.
However, offered me the option of either the £88 refund, or to re-order and cancel the original.

I opted to keep the original and take the refunded difference.

Very happy now and pleased with the quick resolution. Even more pleased that it is sorted quickly as I can now enjoy the long weekend and look forward to my first Trident arriving next week!

Double result; not only a refund but delayed dispatch means I should be able to intercept the parcel on delivery as I am away for a few days. This purchase has not been notified to, or cleared by the finance committee, so it needs a stealth introduction to the collection!

Trebles all round!
