What would you change about your CW?
Re: What would you change about your CW?
The CW I wear most is my blue C65 vintage handwinder, and I wouldn't change a thing, although I love display case backs on any watch.
I can see ways it night have been designed differently, and I am not sure if I would like it more with no numbers, rather than the 12 and 6, but this is the way CW designed it, and it suits me fine. I like this design as much anything else in the C65 range, and more than most. I am a certain vintage myself, and have always hand wound watches, and to me an automatic was a novelty.

I would have loved my Trident GMT 38 to have 2 4 and 6 instead of the 15 minute timer function. It wasn't a deal breaker and I love the white face and red bezel, but if I could make one change it would be this. The watch is perfect in nearly every other way. It is easily my most complimented watch as it is.

I very much love the Sandstorm; it is among my most worn watches.it’s a great size and looks very appealing. The only shortcoming is the date feature. The date track would be more visible along the minute track at the outer edge of the dial.

Re: What would you change about your CW?
While I love my C60 Elite 1000, I'd change two things (no watch is perfect, is it?). It's a beauty but a 15.4mm thick beauty. I'd reduce the water resistance (1000m is only helpful for Top Trumps, not diving), so the watch could be thinner.
And I'd either have it made from more scratch-resistant titanium like grade 5 or have a hardened coating (e.g., equivalent to Duractect or Tegiment). IMO, CW has become one of the world's most innovative watch companies, so a hardened coating would fit with this brand value.

My C65 Dartmouth is wonderful but for me, I wish it was a 39mm like my Sealander.

I find wearing it on a strap rather than a bracelet helps to keep the size down.scampbell61 wrote:My C65 Dartmouth is wonderful but for me, I wish it was a 39mm like my Sealander.

I imagine a great many people will agree with you here.

The only thing I’d like to see changed/added to the full range is the option to install a COSC Sellita movement in each appropriate model.
I love the guaranteed accuracy of this certification. I understand that the additional cost is something to be considered, but I’d be more than happy to pay this.
Keep well,

Re: What would you change about your CW?
I know that some people seem to hate them, but ... if I must have a date on a dive watch ... the I'd like a cyclops. Yeah yeah, aesthetically perhaps not the best but surely a "tool watch" should be about function. And my eyes appreciate that particular function.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

Re: What would you change about your CW?
In order of purchase:
C15 (rose gold case and bracelet, charcoal dial) white date wheel is bad, case scratches too easily (though the plating is thick enough it's not exposed whatever's below) and as there's lume on the hands why not have some on at least one hour marker?
C3IPK (black case, dial and bracelet with silver hands and markers) would be better if it had the smooth sweep of an auto (though then it wouldn't be so thin, light or convenient...) and a black date wheel instead of white.
C65 Trident Classic LE would be perfect with a dial coloured date wheel.
C9 Moonphase could be a bit thinner and a fitted bracelet for it would be lovely
C600 it would be unfair to criticise the watch for it's strap but other than that there's not much I'd change (the white date wheel under a yellow dial is not as jarring as the others) I'd take the C65 over it as a "one watch" but for what it is it's great (I don't feel restricted by the unidirectional 60 click bezel)
Afterthought - as all of these are out of warranty I guess I could look into swapping the date wheels?

Re: What would you change about your CW?
I would like to see CW pay more attention to legibility, particularly on white faced models. So many nice designs of the past are impractical because CW insisted on using silver hands on white dials while many of the C9s used hands that all look the same so that it is impossible to read time at a glance.
The Sealander shows it can be done.

The one thing that stops me buying more CW's is silver hands. I'd really like to see a CW with gloss black or outlined skeleton pointers or anything but just silver hands which everyone else seems to use. One of my favourite watches is the C9 SH21 which has aluminium blue hands on a crisp white dial. Need more of this style of contrast on the divers.

Re: What would you change about your CW?
Couldn't agree more, a cosc option for every model would be great ,the only thing stopping me buy a super compressor is the movement.Jcalder68 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 11:13 pm The only thing I’d like to see changed/added to the full range is the option to install a COSC Sellita movement in each appropriate model.
