What’s your favorite skeleton/exposed dial CW?
As the question asks, what’s your favorite skeleton or exposed dial CW has produced? I think about this every time they release a new watch with exposed elements. For purposes of this poll, I’m thinking only of models where the workings of the movement are exposed in some capacity. I’m not sure if the C7 Apex quite fits that mandate, but I included it anyway. I’ve added a more generic category for all the sapphire dial models. I’m also sure I’ve probably missed one, so there’s an option there, too. If you pick this option, please include a post with the model you were thinking of.

I cast my vote for the Twelve X Ti. It was a real toss up between that and the C60 Concept. The Concept lost out because I just don’t like the orange!

Without wanting to deviate from the topic, and by no means is there any intent for aspersions to be cast regarding potential gerrymandering, i feel that if all the colour and iterations of the sapphires (including Anthropocene, Abyss SH21, glow-in-the-dark strap etc) are being combined, then the titanium and steel versions of the XII X should probably also be combined as one? Or perhaps it’s the other way round and the Abyss should be it’s own category, given the SH21 movement?

Re: What’s your favorite skeleton/exposed dial CW?
You’re absolutely right. I initially had separate entries for the Bel Canto and the Bel Canto Classic, then just went with one. Doing that with the Twelve X didn’t even occur to me until after everything was up and running, so to speak. As for the Sapphire, I initially wasn’t even going to include that, as it’s just a clear dial as opposed to a purposeful design to expose parts of the movement. Rolling all the iterations into one category was the imperfect solution.Griso wrote: ↑Fri Apr 25, 2025 4:07 pm Without wanting to deviate from the topic, and by no means is there any intent for aspersions to be cast regarding potential gerrymandering, i feel that if all the colour and iterations of the sapphires (including Anthropocene, Abyss SH21, glow-in-the-dark strap etc) are being combined, then the titanium and steel versions of the XII X should probably also be combined as one? Anyway, this isn’t rocket science…

C60 Concept for me. Although I’ve never seen it in the flesh and can’t think I’ll buy one, I just think it’s phenomenal-looking.

Exactly the same, voted Twelve X Ti. Don't mind orange generally but prefer the monochrome look as it is more understated and versatile.

Re: What’s your favorite skeleton/exposed dial CW?
Being in possession of a few of the watches on the list, I thought I'd chip in with my two penneth.
I find that I wear the Bel Canto when I want to show off the watch I'm wearing to others or have a day full of meetings where I want to keep track of time without being seen to be looking at my watch, but the C60 Concept was the one I saw as my 'daily driver'.
I received the XII X LE in late December, I preferred this to the XII X which looked too dark in comparison, and that has currently replaced the Concept as my go-to watch, though I'm not sure how much of that is because of the XII X's greater skeletonisation or whether recency bias is coming into the equation.
The Abyss SH21 is the one that gets the least wear - I like the stealth look of the watch, but find the sapphire dial makes the legibility of watch pretty poor.
