@JAFO You are not wrong there regarding wanting more but hindered by finances, I'm loving so many from different ranges.
While reading another thread I saw a reference to ward hoard, as I'm sure you guys are well aware they are a member of this forum apparently and after visiting their site saw quite a few models I'm now lusting after. I am just currently struggling a little with the old style writing and logos. As I only discovered CW recently with no real previous, detailed knowledge of the brand I've only known the dual flag logo. If i manage to get past or become accustomed to those previous iterations of branding then god help me.

@Redpat - a very fair question about values / costs over time.
Objectively, CW watches are as good, or as bad, as many other brands in terms of holding value or depreciating; rather like cars. It's simply that you're starting from a lower price point with a CW compared to say and Oris, Longines, Omega, Tudor, Bremont to name but a few.
As has been pointed out, there's the CWArchive that shows a record of Resales over time. Some models 'win' others 'lose'; I've owned CWs that fit both categories.
For me, I tend to buy what I like and balance out buying new, nearly new and pre-owned to hedge my bets as one might say.
Bottom line, pays yer money, takes your choice.

Not only do you start from a lower price point, but I think there is also a "floor" price if you will. A nice automatic watch is always going to be worth a certain value, so if you only paid say £600 for a watch you stand a fair chance of recovering most of that. As prices of new models rise, it probably helps resale values of older models to some extent.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Thu Jul 25, 2024 4:14 pm @Redpat - a very fair question about values / costs over time.

Maybe also a real possibility of CW moving from the status of cheap micro brand, to respected watch maker with a commensurate recognition of a higher value irrespective of initial cost price. Sort of Rolex effect.
Re: My beautiful BMT, What's next?
A quick update. The BMT is running beautifully and is all the watch I'll ever need functionally. However, as per my threads I did pull the trigger and treated myself to an Omega aqua terra 41mm in the black lacquer, it's a beautiful thing but not a watch I want to wear for everyday duties.
So that's it, well no! A few weeks ago while looking for a diver as previously detailed, I went all in on a new Bremont Supermarine 300 in green and on the bracelet. I've already had a lengthy thread on my reasoning but I'll add that it is a joy and I'm very pleased to have found this model after a lot of general reviews and opinions to the contrary. It is a lovely daily wearer and I find now that the dust has settled on my purchase I tend to mostly alternate between this and the BM trident. The omega tends to be the option for meals out or an event of some kind.
So the BMT has certainly not been ousted but has found it's way into a solid rotation in my small collection.
What's next? I've got an eye out for a white faced watch, possibly another dive model or a field piece. Atol, I'm looking at you. . Although not white, the Bremont terra nova 40.5 with power reserve (I can hear the gasps of disbelief) keeps popping up in my mind uninvited. .
Well, I'm sure there will be another addition of some kind when funds permit of course, as ive taken a hammering there over the last few months.

What a beautiful colour, so much more vibrant compared to website. Congrats. Makes me want to visit showroom and see what they all look like which would be very expensive I'm sure.

A gorgeous dial and colour for sure on the BM. One feature that I really noticed is the legibility of the date, which on some watches you really need to squint to be able to read.
