What’s ahead in 2025?
Well there was a What’s 2024 been like… thread so I thought the extension should be that it’s time to get your crystal balls out and consider, “What does 2025 hold?”
Keen to hear everyone’s thoughts what the year ahead might mean for both your own collections but also some guesses (educated or otherwise) on what it might mean for Christopher Ward as well.

I'm venturing there might just be another Bel Canto...maybe. Perhaps with a Globolight dial, who knows.

Loupe 35 - new Dune?
Loupe 34 - Bel Canto with a new movement with a free sprung balance
Loupe 33 - a new complication for the SH21 in a Sealander?
Taken from 'The Drawing Board'.

If 2024 was the 20th Anniversary of Christopher Ward, then 2025 will be the 20th Anniversary of the CW Forum.

Re: What’s ahead in 2025?
I think on the webinar release of the bel canto classic, the boss man said that they had put a better infrastructure in place to develop and manufacture more units going forward.
I think that this will open up opportunities for more variants of the 12 and belcanto as well their more standard design watches. I can't wait to see what they come up with.
I think last year was when that they stepped firmly into the arena to compete with longer established brands across all price points. Another year like that and I think CW will become even more of a major player and grab an even bigger piece of the pie. I just hope that we still get that personal connection with the brand that separates them from others.

Re: What’s ahead in 2025?
Personally 2025 sees me turning 40, my wife also turning 40 and is celebrating 10 years of marriage. I'm on the lookout for a watch to tie it all together but can't decide on a birth year watch, something that's new in 2025 or something that's a 'big purchase'. Another Omega is tempting, I keep looking at Rolex but don't want to play the AD games or go grey market so let's see what CW comes up with!
I've not bought a CW for a while, I've liked a lot of the releases but none have got me over the line. A new complication would be interesting.
A 20 year forum event sounds good!

I had also noticed this last week and was wondering if the Moderators might consider a CW Forum 20th anniversary edition for December?Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 1:11 pm If 2024 was the 20th Anniversary of Christopher Ward, then 2025 will be the 20th Anniversary of the CW Forum.

Re: What’s ahead in 2025?
A new Forum Limited Edition would be interesting.
How about a tourbillon? Or a minute repeater? The former I’m not fussed by, the latter would be interesting to see if they could do at a reasonable price point.
A classic dress watch would be nice but I suspect with the Bel Canto’s success it might be quite far off.
My CW radar for 2025, before any new models:
- Sealander GMT in either dragonfly blue or hunter green (or both?)
- Trident Pro 300 bronze blue ombré
- Bel Canto Classic Argento or Azzuro (or both?)

Walking in Türkiye, maybe a trip to Bali.
I’ll grab a watch from the box and post a few pics.

That calls for a very special Forum LE!Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 1:11 pm If 2024 was the 20th Anniversary of Christopher Ward, then 2025 will be the 20th Anniversary of the CW Forum.

Re: What’s ahead in 2025?
^^^ Well based on the last FLE, it would literally already have to be done/announced/sold in order to have a chance at a 2025 delivery

Re: What’s ahead in 2025?
I think more Bel Canto colours are inevitable. I'd like to see a red one in the Classic version.
A tourbillon would be cool. I'm hoping for something original/special akin to the Bell Canto, but obviously vastly different. I don't think I'll be buying any more CWs (or probably any other brands for that matter) unless it's something unique so I'd have to be 'wowed' by something.timepieces_and_bags wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 3:12 pm How about a tourbillon? Re: What’s ahead in 2025?
For my own collection?
I have an entrée for a bespoke Bel Canto, probably in the first half of the year, plus a Special Projects Elliot Brown Holton GMT, bought and paid for a couple of months ago and due delivery in July / July.
Other than those, any purchase will be a carefully considered move, not my usual spur of the moment acquisition, and I'm more likely to be selling to rationalise my collection a bit.
