I hope I can get one in a future clearance. I am a patient guy and I can wait (repeat this to myself a few times a day). Unless they release a limited model, of course.

On top of that, I will most likely getting a new Bel Canto. And I'm very curious what the two teasers (balance wheel and jumping hour) will look like. Just curious, won't be buying anything. Unless I really really like them.

And I also have a Mun Orion Green on pre-order, seemed like a good deal and loved the look and colors.

But hey, at least my newly designed watch cabinet can hold more watches now, so I don't have to worry about storage. For now.
That Mun looks great, Alex. Wasn’t aware of them before. Interestingly on their product page they provide a complete breakdown of costs for the item: https://www.mun-watches.com/en/_files/u ... 14debb.pdf

I’ve not seen that before

My apologies, Steve.

I got your topic on the Seven Ages of WIS mixed up with Richard's of Learning from my Mistakes aka Downer's Rules, which I've now found in the Thread Reference Thread.

Alright, I'll put this in the wish list, which isn't going too far out of the box...

A C65 Aquitaine GMT, white sand/blue, with a Dune-style 3D raised dial, blue GMT hand, with a consort bracelet. {take my money now}

Do the same thing with the Orca black, but with a Dune-style gray 3D raised dial (make it slightly darker?), and stick with the red GMT hand, also with a consort bracelet.

Raised dials add so much character to a watch. It would be great to have more options.

I posted this in the 'Off topic' section, but it is actually relevant here too.

We might see the introduction of the upgraded SW200-1, the SW200-2, introduced this year. Whilst unlikely to be revolutionary in design, it does come with a reported 65 hours of power reserve, which is nice.

Bigger PR is nice, but what about fixing the gritty hand widing that causes the movement to fail (helicopter rotor issues). It's a decades old issue and the reason I will never buy a watch with SW200/ETA 2824 ever again.

There are several other options, but every movement has its issues.

I remember reading a comment somewhere from someone at Tudor saying that one of the reasons they moved to the Kenissi movements was the high QC error rate they were receiving from third party manufacturers (ETA at the time). They stated that they were reworking a very high number of movements straight in from the manufacturer which was becoming increasingly unworkable. Given the rise in popularity of Tudor since then I think they were probably right in moving (for many other reasons too).

Time will tell what this new release from Sellita will look like. Hopefully there will be more than just a PR bump. That would be disappointing.

FWIW, on Nico Leonard's YouTube livestream that aired at 20:00 GMT on Monday, February 10th, he mentioned another new CW release is coming. The release under PR embargo with the watch influencers. FWIW, he appeared irritated that CW is coming out with a flurry of releases... while wearing a Bel Canto. :)

Talking of C65 with raised 3D dials, I think the watchgecko Aquitaine being reprised in the same configuration but a different colour scheme to keep the limited status of the original would be welcomed.
Perhaps a bigger run or the time-limited buying window of the 🐍 collaboration.
In my view that raised ring with the concentric grooves, combined with the arrowhead puddles of lume replacing the applied blob markers, was a superb design choice.

2025 brings a new kitchen (and 2026 a second floor!!) so after a front-loaded start to the year including a bronze Dune that I adore, I am going to be consolidating here. As for CW I'm very interested to see something new on movements or complications. Not a very original thought but I'm good on collaborations and novelty dials for the time being!

Maybe this?

Although more likely 2026 if it were to gain any traction!

If they get rid of the silly red thing on the stem, something like this would be an instant buy for me.

I can ask if it could be made a silly silver thing ... :)

I think I know the answer, but in this instance, it does actually tie in with the bezel.

While we're at it, let's make it COSC certified!
