Re: What aviation homages would you like to see from CW
Bringing this thread from the past - after a thread on another forum I was reading tonight about the Vulcan and thought ... what a great tie up for a CW model - looks like you guys are already on the case . a Vulcan version of the C1000 would be difficult for me to resist with a limited 607 production run.

VC10 has been done already by CW and Breitling. Fellow aviators have been brandishing them in front of me. in fact the limited edition Breitling he bought was offered to me.
No contest for me - TriStar. Flew one of these 150 hours in one month in Gulf War 1 refuelling coalition forces.

Not an aircraft, but a very important part of aviation heritage - the Rolls Royce Merlin.
'The Christopher Ward C8 Merlin' has a nice ring to it
I already own a lovely CW aviation watch, the BBMF C4.

Had to goto Bremont for my TriStar watch. They are currently designing a watch for me. Asked CW and they weren't interested.

Re: What aviation homages would you like to see from CW
Ok, Aviation watches generally leave me cold, and are ridiculously large (I do understand the historical and practical reasons, but they are obsolete for what is jewellery to most of us).
If the Typhoon case could be reduced to 40mm, although 42mm is acceptable, and had the ridiculous onion crown consigned to the scrap heap, these would be my suggestions in order;
1. Concorde (no explanation required)
2. Vulcan (longest bombing raid in history, Falklands War)
3. Harrier (first true VTOL)
4. EE Lightning (first Jet Fighter to break Mark 2)
5. Hawk T1A (Red Arrows)
Makes you feel proud to be British when you think about these feats of engineering.
And as for the SR-71, no, just no. Let Hamilton or some other pseudo American watch brand reference that.

I'd love to see the R-100 commemorated.
The last watch I bought will be the next to last watch I ever buy!

So it's been done, no need for CW to sully their good name with nonsense.

Wanted a LE TriStar watch from CW, but they ignored my request. Shame on them and as a result struggling to buy another CW. Had to got to Bremont to fulfil my wishes.

Probably the most profitable aviation homage would be an Amelia Earhart edition.
Once you take it off it is never seen again and you need another watch.
