Hmmm... I went off the main christopherward website today to have a little look and see if the diver had appeared yet.
As I looked around I spotted that in the watch words section is Tourbillon I would imagine that good percentage of the readers here know what one is.
The fun part isn't the definition but this line in the middle:
"One day we may decide to commission our own CW tourbillon and have had early conversations with a bespoke manufacture of haute horologie. Watch this space."
Now I'll really have to start saving the pennies...

Re: Watchwords
I cannot even begin to imagine what the end user price would be...

If a Tourbillon was made by CW, you can guarantee that it will be the cheapest available and that the quality will be amongst the best!!!!!!

Re: Watchwords
While that is probably true, it would also be substantially more expensive than any CW watch we know about today. I would expect that you could buy more than a handful of Malverns for that money - I think you'd be looking well into the four-figure range.

Re: Watchwords
I am not sure I would agree. It seems like there are a lot of cheap, somewhat questionable, watch companies that are pulling off complications that 5 years ago would have been considered respectable. I think the way he is doing it will get him respect...it just takes time. One quality watch at a time, one satisfied customer at a time, one superlative customer service encounter at a time. As his watches get into more and more hands, his street cred will get higher.President wrote:This may be what gets CW some respect in the watch world. *crosses fingers*
What I think he needs to do is send one, an Aviator is the one I would send, to Michael Sandler at timezone.com for review. I think if he could get just one or two watches into the hands of some of the more influential members there, he could put his cred on the fast track.
In fact, to put my money where my mouth is, I am willing to contribute $5.00 US to jointly purchase an Aviator to send to Michael Sandler for review. Anyone else interested?
