Watches...Everywhere...Help!

Post by Mezzame »

I think I've come down with something. Went to the grocery store - eyes consistently drawn to people's wrists.

Watching golf - nicely played wedge Phil, eye straight to his watch. 60 minute interview about a chess phenom - what's that on the interviewer's wrist - Casio ProTek? Watched Groundhog Day with my 9 yr old son for some yuks and I'm looking at Bill Murry's watch. Was even checking out Andi McDowell's watch. now when you are looking at Andi Mcdowell from the early 90's and your eye averts to her watch - you've got issues.

I'm sorry, but that is simply unacceptable, and Kip will need to address the issue of your meds with utmost rapidity!

What was her watch, by the way?

Once you start "rewinding" to check what the man in "Person of Interest" is wearing and you tell your significant other: Can you believe he is wearing a RESCO like mine? and she shakes her head as if to say "he has gone over the edge", then you have a problem.

So now on what TV show etc does someone wear a CW?

You most definitely have issues. You must report for special treatments immediately. :laserschwert:

I confess that my first thought was to put you in a cell with Andie McDowell and 1 watch and see what you would look at to see how bad off you are......then I thought that would actually be a reward so I better try it first to see if it works.

I'm pretty sure I saw Peter Jones on Dragons Den and in other interviews wearing a C4.

Don't worry mezzame. You are doing what any self-respecting WIS would do and you are checking out the complete package. Now, had you noticed the watch and not the person wearing it, then you have issues. At least you were able to name the person wearing it! Noticing the watch that a movie star is wearing in a film that I am watching often provides a bit of light relief and my two children have started joining in.

Me. 'Ah. That chap is wearing a panerai.'
Kaelan. 'Do you like it Daddy?'
Me. 'No. Not really.'
Erin. 'We don't like panererers. They're rubbish.'

I am definitely stealing glances at people's wrists now when I couldn't be bothered before. As far as TV goes, the only show where I really try to look at wrists is Mad Men.
