I thought of returning it, but it doesn't seem right. There isn't a single thing wrong with the watch; no reason for CW to have to take it back. I just don't like it as much as I'd hoped to.
I would sell it here but don't have enough posts to qualify, and at the rate I post messages it could be years.

Greetings,

I've had one or two from CW that have not come up to expectations.

I also don't understand the reluctance to return a watch, use 60/60 that is what it is there for!

It certainly makes it tough pulling the trigger on a purchase knowing that a sale could just be around the corner

hi MFoley
one of the reasons CW has a generous returns policy is because they're an internet-only dealer. the only place you can try on their watches is in the showroom in maidenhead, which isn't convenient for most buyers. so the return policy allows you to try on a watch and return it simply because you don't like it, or it doesn't fit, or whatever. there's no problem / moral dilemma with this at all. if you don't like the watch for whatever reason then just return it under 60:60
watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

This is really good advice. CW are set up for such returns and want their customers to be fully happy with their purchase, else return it. I've returned lots of watches to them without any problems - and often have three or four sent to me to choose one or return all. That's one of the reasons we are CW enthusiasts - they really do look after their customers! :D

So, I decided to return the watch to CW. Refund received for the cost of the watch, but they did not reimburse me for return postage. I am disappointed, as I thought this was part of the deal.
Emailed customer service - we'll see.
