Did CW produce the black and red hybrid rubber with the DLC buckle?

I have the black rubber strap on my Abyss and really want to add one with the red but all I ever see are the buckles in titanium or regular steel. I'm tempted but not sure I could get over the mismatched color even if it's rarely seen.

I thought I had bought a black one in the sale, and was going to offer a trade, but I checked and I hadn't, just steel ones. I know the abyss is gunmetal, not black, but I expect black would have worked OK. Is that what you meant, or did you actually mean gunmetal?

I think I saw one in the main January sale, but I could be mistaken. They're going away from the two tone hybrid straps, so I think ebay or putting a WTB in the market is your best bet.

I don’t think there was a fully matched black and red hybrid with a gunmetal dlc buckle. You could order to see and if it doesn’t work you’d likely be able to sell it here at no loss. Or return it to CW.

Picked up a couple straps.

I have one in my collection of straps, it was worn on my Abyss GMT when I fancied a change from the bracelet.

Not the injected carbon.. but yeah, the gunmetal dlc. They did make them as @Botty3105 has one!

You are most welcome, I have actually picked one up today from the clearance with the stainless clasp.

Perhaps you could get a 20mm tang clasp in gunmetal from AliX, and swap it over.

It saved me some money yesterday by not checking the forum. The C65 Aquitaine is still safely in CW's warehouse and my wife is still happy.

I went ahead and did the same! There's enough stainless on the indices and hands of the Abyss that I think the buckle will be fine. The red will be a nice pop of color with the GMT hand.

I was almost going to buy the black and orange strap that does have the dlc buckle and swap them. The rubber is really stiff and difficult to move though, and knowing my luck I'd scratch them trying to get a tool in there. There's also the problem of then having a strap I don't need and doesn't mesh with any other watch I own.

It's a bummer they're getting rid of the hybrid rubber as I really like them. Getting one for $45 was too much to pass up regardless of clasp color.

I have been on the lookout for a rubber strap for my 12 Ti but had been out of luck over the last three clearance sales. I was disappointed again when I checked the new unannounced Clearance link but when I searched using Sale one popped up so I promptly snapped it up.
