Wouldn’t be a problem for me, I can’t swim.

Yes. It's only a problem if you actually want to swim with your watch, and then you can attach a non.leather strap.

^^^ I know. I’ve heard about people buying swimming watches without intending to wear them for swimming. Weirdos.

I kind of can’t believe how much credit the company is giving you all (I wasn’t a member at the time). Not just mentions in passing but prominent position in the recent email.

Have you seen an uptick in new members?

Yes, there has been an uptick in membership since the Trident Pro 300 launch and Loupe 26 landing. It is slight, but most definitely noticeable. :D

Now we just need these new members to start participating!!

It’s really been something how much the forum has been a part of all the press surrounding the release. I applaud CW for that.

On the flip side, I could see some people reacting negatively to that and think “design by committee” mentality.

I can’t help but think that pushing the forum by extension can push sales. How many one time buyers might then become recurring buyers because of this forum?

That’s been my path. I heard of CW a few years ago, and found a used C9 as my first foray into the brand. I found and joined the Forum, learned some more, and bought a few more watches both new and second hand, as I engaged more with avid enthusiasts of this brand and CW itself. It’s been a valuable, and at times expensive, arc for me.

I think the trident 300 has arrived at a good time for any watch lovers who have passed CW by previously because they didn’t get on with previous logos / changing logos. There certainly seems to be people around the net sounding a bit more engaged due to the swoosh. This is just my limited view of course.

But to welcome people in I think the trident 300 is fantastic. A distilled beautiful thing bringing together a lot of features that make up the DNA of CW, including accessibility and response to customers. Exercised down to a slim 300m WR and looking lean.

Love to see some wrist shots of bracelet taper.

Still think it’ll be too much for me, and as I’m not keen on the strap combos it might be a miss.

Such a shame to have to buy a great watch and immediately think of buying a strap alternative.

Best one for me at the moment, apart from green, is the black/white but still worried about hand/dial contrast.

I’ve decided to say contrast rather than legibility because some find it ok!

I think that sums it up perfectly! I think this watch is the perfect summation, the ultimate expression of CW as a brand at this point in time.
