The lug width (not lug-to-lug) is 20mm on the 38mm and 40mm cases. It's 22mm on the 42mm case.

All the technical specs are on the CW website.

Greg, with the greatest of respect, it might be an idea for you to attend these preview meetings directly in future, so you can hear exactly what Mike says. Some of his statements lose some nuance when they are relayed later on and can then provoke a reaction they don't deserve.

My take on his comments on the bracelet were that they listened to criticism of Aquitaine bracelet, worked hard with their suppliers to come up with an improved solution and insisted on some high quality tolerances to do this. They looked at what Rolex and Tudor do and, in his opinion, the solution they have come up with is inspired by what Rolex do but not quite up to their quality threshold, but that it is ahead of what Tudor do - in his opinion, as I say. But this is based on knowing the suppliers who provide bracelets for Rolex and Tudor - they are different and working to different quality thresholds.

In the end, it's his opinion and it's a subjective claim - and we should expect him to be a little "sunny-side up" on this as the CEO. But he did at least explain the rationale for his view.
Thank you for some context.

also interesting to read that Rolex and Tudor do not make their own bracelets.

No, the strap size on the 38mm & 40mm is 20mm with a 22mm strap on the 42mm.

300 vs 600 - Is a £65 difference sufficient for somebody to choose the 300 over the existing 600?
It probably comes down to whether you find the 600 too bulky/heavy, and whether you actually prefer the looks of the 600.

I really like my 38mm T600 GMT Mk2, for example. Yes, it's a bit heavier than I would have liked, but I get the no-longer available red ceramic bezel and the white waved-texture dial. That's a great combo, along with the yellow GMT hand.

MF did say at the preview that for now there was no plan to introduce GMT versions of the T300, and I'm not surprised. This series is positioned to be "below" the current 600, with Trident 600 Mk4 coming next year. If the 300 gets more high-end features, the current T600 will be less desirable.

I do like the new 38mm T300 in white, but between that and the 36mm Sealander, the latter wins out for me in price and also because I already have Trident divers. It's not a like for like comparison since the latter is not a diver, but these are my own thoughts.

Ordered the 42mm Pro 300 in black on bracelet yesterday and its status was initially showing preorder, but it now shows "Partialy Held". Has anyone experienced that before or know what it indicates? :-k I'm guessing it has to do with the bracelet not being in stock so the watch is being held until it arrives to be assembled, packed and shipped. Does that seem like a reasonable assumption? TIA

He didn't specify, but implied; Rolex.

Do all those brands you've listed use screwed pins for the bracelets?

Guy
Actually he did directly say Rolex... "the masters of this particular art are... Rolex.. who have screw access on one side only"

So yes, he was putting Rolex as top and CW as "possibly" the second best bracelet on the market 8)

Are you sure about Rolex? I thought they bought Gay Frères so they could bring bracelet manufacturing in-house.

Again, he was directly referencing bracelets with a single screw on one side... I know Rolex do this, hence shy he compared CW to them. Not clear who else does... certainly my Omega has screws on both sides, although these are pretty easy to adjust

So, will the swish-only dials and updated bracelets be eventually carried over to the existing Pro 600 in the near future ?

Will they not look pretty much identical then ?

I would defo choose one of these over the 600. the white face/orange strap is the winner for me.
