Trident Pro 300 on 6 inches wrist
Hi everyone,
I want to buy the Trident Pro 300 but I don't know whether to take the 38 or 40mm model.
Maybe for my wrist size (15.3cm, 6,02 inches) it would be better the 38mm, what do you think about that?
I leave a photo with a Daniel Wellington 40mm (lug to lug 47mm) and with a Sector ADV 4500 (lug to lug 48mm)
If you have photos of your Trident Pro 300 with white or black dial, please post them!
Thanks,
Riccardo.

I would say 40mm would be great but depends how you like wear your watches. I am sure a 38 would be fine too.
I think we get a little obsessed by the size of a watch and quickly adjust anyway. Depending upon how flat a wrist is may be a bigger consideration so the lug to lug is often a good measure and the 40mm comes in at around 47mm.
You can always return if you are not sure or may be in a good position to buy both say on a credit card and try them on for size at home. Also keep an eye out if there is a sale of nearly new watches etc over the coming days and if you luckily find either a 38 or 40 the decision could be made for you!

Re: Trident Pro 300 on 6 inches wrist
I generally agree with the points made above. However, with a 6" wrist, the answer is easy. Go for the 38mm version and hope it's not too big.
I wear the 40mm version on my 7" wrist, and it's the perfect size for me. In my view, it would be too large for a 6" wrist, unless you like your watches to wear very large.

Re: Trident Pro 300 on 6 inches wrist
I have the same wrist size as you - 6". I've had the trident pro 600 in all 3 sizes, 38/40/42. I found the 38mm trident pro 600 too small for my taste. I had one and sold it. The thicker bezel on a dive watch makes the dial very small, and will usually wear smaller than a watch of the same size with no dive bezel and larger dial area. I am most comfortable with the 40mm in the trident 600.
I haven't tried any of the trident 300s yet. They are a little thinner than the 600s, maybe they'll wear smaller due to that? Or maybe bigger due to the different bezel?
It all comes down to personal preference! You might just have to try them all to find out.
For reference, here is all 3 sizes on a 6" wrist:

Re: Trident Pro 300 on 6 inches wrist
Good day.
Obviously it's a personal choice with no "right" answer--just preferences. I have a 6.75 and find the watches that fit the best are those where there's "still a little wrist" to be seen just past the end of the lugs when looking at the watch. Plus--as posted earlier--the bezel or lack thereof really makes a difference (i.e., dive watches with a decent-sized bezel will wear smaller).
If I were in your shoes I think I'd do the 38 mm and see how it looks. I can always ship it back if I feel it's too small. Key though is how *you* feel about it--if you like bigger watches on the wrist I'm sure the 40 would work well.
hth and good luck.

Hi I have 6" wrists and just got a 38mm 300 I personally think 38mm is perfect. I have tried a 40mm 600 on my wrists & IMO looks to big.
But it is down to personal taste. It is a beautiful watch though

Re: Trident Pro 300 on 6 inches wrist
I have a 6.5 inch wrist and have a 38mm Trident Pro 600. It wears larger on a bracelet and small on a strap. I love the 38mm on my larger wrist, but it a slightly thicker watch.
I would say go with 38mm if you intend to wear it on bracelet, and 40mm if you go with a strap.
If you intend to wear it with both, on balance I would say 38mm

Re: Trident Pro 300 on 6 inches wrist
Thank you all for the answers.
Maybe I can try with the 40mm (now in stock) and then change it with the 38mm if its too big.
About my wrist, it's 5.3cm (2 inches) wide and 4.2cm (1.6 inches) high, so I think 40mm might be a good choice too

Wait until tomorrow and you may find one at 30% off.lookatpozz wrote:Thank you all for the answers.

This. I would wait for tomorrow and order both (if possible). You'll know within 5 seconds of trying then on what's the right Vs or too big.MichaelMD wrote:Wait until tomorrow and you may find one at 30% off.lookatpozz wrote:Thank you all for the answers.

Re: Trident Pro 300 on 6 inches wrist
The 300 is a great watch.
The bezel does change the visual impact, it is about 4.5mm thick. Thus on a 42mm less 9mm (4.5 mm x2) the visual dial is about 31mm. As others have said the case and thickness of the watch reduces how it wears. Also I tend to wear most watches on NATO again I feel it wears smaller. I have a 6.5 inch but prefer a larger watch so I went for the 42mm. I have tried all three at a visit to CW towers. I found the 38mm wears quite small, the 40mm is a great middle ground and 42mm wears similar to the old Omega seamaster 2531.80
That being said if I were looking at the 600 I would go for the 40mm.
